Sounds very good! Especially Christopher Lee's narrations. :jump:

It sounds very much the same as their old songs.

I'm kind of disappointed. :buh:

Not bad, but reminded me of Therion at some points... i think they will never return to the sound of the two first albums, so this new stuff seems pretty much like a futher developed Power Of the Dragonflame...

I think their older stuff was more individual... but Christopher Lee kicks ass :)

But they also left behing those more filigree (word?) instrumental passages with flute and violin, the new stuff is a lot more orchestral. Dunno, i liked that older stuff more...

And i like long songs =P

They never embromated... their songs were a little clichéd, that's all...

IMO Lione's voice's better than ever in this song.

At first, there is nothing bad, if the new Rhapsody album sounds like the previews. It's not very good for a band to change its style. For example Iron Maiden - they are so great, because they do the same all those years. Or take for example AC/DC or ManOwar... They are rock-legends, because they do what their fans want. When a group experiment too much, its music sounds like a... NO COMENT. And the commercialism comes soon. Take another example - Nightwish! How could they... Tarja will never sing like in Wishmaster, or Oceanborn... She will never use her voice the same way as before, because the managers think that there is no need of skilful singing.
Of course it's my prsonal opinion and don't forget, that i'm a Rhapsody fan to the bones. I see that your opinion is very different from mine, but there's nothing bad - diffrent people, different opinions 8)

I think IM sucks because over 20 years the keep playing the same, but then I'm not a big fun of IM, only few albums are ok for me. As for Rhapsody, which, I love whatever ppl say, I feel fine if they don't change too much. And for my ears they don't sound that much the same on every album. I want fast drumming, clean vocals, heavy guitars and cheesy melodies, fuck the rest ;)

That's right. Every Rhapsody album is different from the others. Yes, the difference isn't so big, but it exists. For example Rain Of A thousand Flames is darker than Symphony Of Enchanted Lands, which is my favourite. Power Of The Dragonflame is heavier than the others. SoEL has more orchestral parts, than the others. Every single album is some kind of unique. The music of Rhapsody is very various and I think that the new album will be a real masterpiece! Only a few days and i'll be able to listen to it =P

The only difference between Rhapsody albums is the level of cheesiness, which grows exponentially ... :D :D

Yes, the new album (date in September) is called Symphony of Emchanted Lands Pt.II.
And you should wach the video of Unholy Warcry on the official Rhapsody page - www.mightyrhapsody.com
The video is amazing. It's the most beautiful video ever and it's the best Rhapsody video for the moment. 8)

Isnt it a bit strange to start a new story and call the album "x pt.2"?

Dont like the name =P

Maybe it's strange for you, but it isn't strange for the true fans. The hero of the new saga (i hope you know about the Emerald Sword saga) is a part of the previous one. So the name is some kind of relationship between the two sagas. It would be stupid if Rhapsody leave the wonderful world from the Emerald Sword Saga (The Enchanted Lands) and start a new one. The new saga will tell a story from the Enchanted Lands years after the old one. The nordic warrior is death, Akron is death. And who you think will be the main character? DARGOR, the shadowlor of the Black mountain!!!
The triumph of Rhapsody just begins!!!!
Gloria Perpetua!

P.S. WOW only one day and I'll be able to listen to the new masterpiece!

The title and idea of continueing old story is the only disapointment with the new rhapsody (I don't mind that they really haven't changed the style at all)

You should read a little more information ; ).
And you should hear the new EP and than talk about it. I'm listening Thunder's Mighty Roar at the moment and it IS a masterpiece. It will be very, very, very bad for you, if you don't hear the songs only because...
And friends, forget about the picture with the pizza - there is/are another group/s, which deserve/s this kind of picture with pizza... and a little lemonade on it :D Rhapsody is not one of them! The EP rocks!!! If someone can't hear the difference from the other albums, than what the hell is he listenning!!!

The chorus of Thunder Mighty Roar reminds me a lot of 'The pride of the Tyrant", and verses are done in the same vain as When Demons Awake, and I don't mean that they are harsh vocals, but the arrangement and melody. Still great song, I can't disagree.

Yes, it's truth - there are elements, that you can hear in other songs, but of course they are not the same. As a whole the new EP sounds more powerful, mature and complicate. And this is great. If it depend on me, there would be no changes in the music of Rhapsody :D
