I was wondering if you could create a topic to people introduce themselves there, cause I was reading some topics and they're exclusively to say "Hi, i'm from XXX and my name is XXX".
That could be nice to newbies, and nicer to us that won't have to read hundreds of "introducing myself" topics...
just an idea...

You could start one yourself, couldn't you? I'm afraid it wouldn't stop the newbies and their "Hi, I'm new here" -threads, though...

I thought the admin doing this would be better, or even the mod, cause it would be something like "welcome, introduce yourself here" and I think that's not a topic for a member to do... as I said, that was just an idea...

I think it's a good idea, as newbies will feel far more welcome to see that topic starting "welcome from Admin, read the rules and enjoy your time here" or even putting a copy of the rules for newbs who are totally new to forums and don't know they are pissing people off when starting "hi" topics (anyone who wishes can go and say welcome, anyone who is not, can just avoid that topic and it's all in one place.)

that topic should also be displayed automatically the firt time a new member opens the forum.
