Favorite Classical Composers

I don't know about anyone else here but I love the Classics. There is something quite beautiful and special about them and I was wondering if anyone else here had a similar passion. Although I have Cds from many composers I have what I consider my "core three" whom are my three favorites. Here they are:
01. Ludwig Van Beethoven
What can be said? Just about everything Beethoven has ever done moves me immensely. From his many Piano Concertos to my all-time favorite work of his - Violin Sonata No. 5 "Spring" - Beethoven has been and always will be my favorite.
02. Antonio Lucio Vivaldi
Who can't love Vivaldi? His compositions are so exuberant and enlightening that it's a surreal experience each and everytime I listen to any of his material. Italy rules
03. Frederic Chopin
The solemn brilliance of Chopin's material amazes me. His compositions are so passionate and dark - it's just awe-inspiring. I still remember the first time I listen to Chopin with his first Piano Concerto and I'm still blown away!
Well, hopefully there are others of you her that listen to the Classics!

1. Mozart
2. Vivaldi
3. Bach
4. Paganini
I'm more into chords/strings than into in piano/keyboards.

Orff's Carmina Burana is great, but I didn't hear his any other compositions.
I like the best:
1. Beethoven
2. Brahms
3. Chaikovski
and many others...

1. Vivaldi (extremely powerefull and fast, melodic metal today owns him a lot, he's 16th century metal)
2. Beethoven (again, his songs are really powerfull)
3. Brahms (just like him)

I enjoy playin Chopin's compositions ...
As Oakenson mentioned : "His compositions are so passionate and dark" ... I do agree about that . In fact , that's why I like Chopin .

Well, though I don´t know much about every classic composer, I can name some:
My fav ones are Tchaikovsky and Minkus because they composed the music for my most beloved ballets: Swan Lake and The Bayadere, Swan Lake´s and Sleeping Beauty´s music "rocks"!
Then I also love a Chopin prelude and a nocturne (I don´t know the n°, sorry), Two Lizt consolations, Strauss waltzes, Vivaldi´s Four Seasons, Beethoven, Saint-Saans and Prokofiev.
ps, Tchaikovsky is one of Timo Tolkki´s favourite

I'm partial to Shostakovich. And Hector Berlioz, naturally.
Also, Ravel's Bolero: you can't beat that with a hippie's head.

Beethoven! no hesitate about that! His feeling is... magic. No words to describe his music.
Also: Mozart/ Schubert/ Rodrigo ( "Concierto de Aranjuez").
