Stratovarius Community

Hi all, i dont know if i am the only one who thinks so, but all those "Hi i´m new here" threads arent really pleasing my beloved eyes and they make the forum look a bit mixed up, so i think it would be a nice idea to have one thread for all to say Hello, and for others to learn about new members.

I dont know if the OffTopic section is the best place for such a topic, as most new members seem to like the StratoDiscussion, but in general it quite fits this position
It would be nice if our Admin or Liina could change this thread so it stays on top of the list, if possible, so that there is a clearly signed entry point for newbies to take a look at... (yes, i forgot how those topics are called )

In addition we could add a new "Tell me about you" thread, as there are so many new members here and obviously we dont know that much about each other... Or this thread gets a second function, anyway... here it is, lets try to get it working

Great idea to do this.

Although this will be my 12th post, I still feel like a newbie, So here goes:

I'm Dutch, I'm 34 years old, male and married without children.

At this moment Ayreon is my favorit band. Because of Ayreon I learn to know other bands, because he's using a lot of different singers. For example Threshold and Symphony X. It's also the way I discoverd Stratovarius (Timo Kotipelto on "Out of the white hole" of the Flight of the migrator album).
I don't have all the albums, but one day I will. I think I like Elements #1 the best.

Further I'm a big football fan, my club is Ajax Amsterdam (got a season-ticket).
I'm a constructing engineer, but I like my free time better.

Is there more you want to know?

Hopefully we get some response here, as the Word Game and Song Game seem to be the only threads alive... which is rather boring

I'm also brand new here. And I don't really know how to do some things here yet.
I'm 18, and in fact I'd like to correspond with metalheads all over the world. It would be the first step...:-) to know people.

Hello all! I am Blaise from America.

Kind of a depressing metal scene over here since no bands like Stratovarius play over here, but I have the CD's and the DVD, So I can live with that until they somehow make it over here in the states.

I've been a fan of Startovarius since I was in 6th grade (I am now a Junior in Highschool) and have loved every album (Some more than others).

I listen to a wide variety of music but mainly European Metal such as Startovarius, Nightwish, Sonata Arcticea, Luca Turilli, Dream Evil, etc...

So ya, Thats my intro, Hope to hear from all of you on the boards, I look foward to posting here

I found I had to look to Europe to find my kind of metal. I like Stratovarius,Hammerfall, Helloween, Scorpions among others. As for my other metal taste I like glam metal such as Stryper, Bon jovi, ect. Being from Boston I love Areosmith as well.

I was born 37 years ago in the middle of nowhere in USA, in a place called Tulsa. I moved to France when I turned 21 and since, I make cheese, milk and wine.
I think that Stratovarius is quite a good band. Interesting drummer they have. But I have to admit that H.I.M, 69 Eyes, Placebo and Immortal are the best bands in this world.
