Hey, ya'll--we are supposed to be living off the land pretty much, like Robinson Crusoe.....if you all take too much "modern stuff" it will be more like a vacation instead of a Survivor/learning experience!

But, its up to you!
Solar powered stuff is pretty modern, too--I'd say!:D

yeah!! .....although my girl dumped me cos i tolld her that i love her .....................and my bed is really heavy.....so i would be able to bring only a knife and the condoms.....

Well, the knife would come in handy.
But, condoms without a girl? Thats no fun. But, the condoms could come(no pun intended)in handy, too-----You could blow them all up like balloons, tie them together&use them as a crude raft! Or, as an attention-getting device to get rescued.....if they are pink, maybe a plane could see them!:lol: Or, maybe the native girls from a nearby island could visit ya, and you could use them for their real/intended purpose, after all!

5. Random extra something (machete, tent, crossbow and bolts, bow and arrows, or anything useful for hunting)

I think i'd die. I'm a vegetarian and i don't believe the island could produce enough plant matter to sustain me.

but if my survival were guaranteed, i would want to have a nice stack of books, my guitar, and a set of freeweights so i could make my time of solace useful! And some sardines.
