That's great,

Now stay off the sherry, Sherry...

Cheers,

Damien

PS: I thought you were going to talk about the upcoming US elections. Who do you think is going to win this time around? It does not look too bright for John Kerry at the moment, with the Republicans' recent media offensive and the hospitalization of Bill Clinton, the democrats' biggest trump. Needless to say, we Europeans hope that arrogant little snit Dubya gets his S kicked right out of the White House, although the ironic reality is that the chaos engendered by both Bush senior and Bush junior's administration's actions in the past two decades almost necessitates the continuation of militant politics, if the USA wants to keep its citizens safe. And when you'll finally be rid of mister Bush in four years, there's always his brother Jeb to continue the mayhem.

But let's talk about brighter things, like a possible American tour of Stratovarius. I see a package tour with P. Diddy and Christina Aguilera...

But then again, I also see pink elephants in tutus on tricycles...

No, just kidding...

That tour will come, if Tolkki keeps it together and focuses on the music.

Nahhhh, he'd hate it here in this narrowminded, uptight, sexually repressive, borderline Nazistic, gunloving country.
For Petes Sake, he lived in DK--a paradise, IMO!
What is he? An exchange Student, or something?

Europe's Porn industry is 100X larger--don't you ever really surf the net?;) Don't dare argue--I can give you countries names easily!Even 1000s of websites which orginate from Europe--so do NOT even try to deny such things openly go on in some parts of Europe! ;)

And in Europe, in many places, prostitution is legal-Amsterdam for example where in redlight district women peddle their "wears" in windows in public. There are many places like that in Europe.
But, in USA prostution is totally illegal--I think there maybe a couple places in Vegas where its legal--but, I dunno about that for sure.

LOL! During WWII most every US soldier got "broke in" in the brothels of Europe!;) It was a "rite of passage"! Truth is Truth--thats Life!

Sexual repression is one of this country's major problems, because it keeps people from being educated about smart sexuality. That's why we're so damn overpopulated with stupid people. Or ignorant people. Or ugly people, but that's the alcohol's fault. :)

*sigh* I'm marianne, i live in florida. I live in the exact opposite kind of environment Sherry lives in, but the same kind of closed-mindedness comes with its inhabitants.

I have two jobs. I work in a coffee shop during the day, and at night i pedal a bicycle taxi in the downtown area. My dad hates both of my jobs and really wants me to quit both of them. He doesn't know i'm paying off a loan.

I'm a year into college, dual majoring in psychology and lighting design. When i'm done i'm going back for Music and Sociology. When i'm done with that i'm going back for Linguistics and Egyptology.

I'm 22.

WTF! Don't get all high and rightous on me, no I don't surf the internet for porn because I'm not sad and perverted! I never said anything about Europes porn industry, i was stating how the fact that a place with ONE OF (notice i put the other commenti n brackets, indicating it was an unimformed guess) the biggest porn industries could be sexually repressive, I bet you've been outside of Alabama have you! yes I know that places like Germany and Russia have thriving industries, but remember that Europe is made up of like millions of different countries, and I wouldnt say that all of them have bigger porn exports than America. Don't think the USA is the only place where prostitution is illegal, its ileggal here in the UK too, and thats a good thing if you ask me!

Yeah, he got a scholarship. I guess they have a pretty good sports program over there, so he could have done a lot worse, too. I heard he also wanted to be somewhat close to you without coming out as a total stalker. ;)

yeah, it's bad. i can't believe that people still think it's a two party system. you know there are over 50 people running for president? i wrote an article about it, i vaguely remember the figure at the time being 92 candidates or so. i haven't checked lately. scary though.

What the USA needs is a powerful opposition against the democrats and the republicans, perhaps a communist party.

I would like to see a communist run for presidency. That would take real balls. Maybe i'll do it.

There IS a socialist candidate this year. His name is Walter Brown.

The problem with challenging the democratic/republican regime is simply....money. corporations back these guys and they back the corporations and you have a chain that can't be surpassed, even by an extremist.

the other problem is the media. media coverage is the key to elections. simply looking at the immediate change in poll percentages after a candidate's tour is proof of that. And our journalists are idiots. They are told to be idiots by the journalism companies, who are funded and/or owned by the corporations. and then you go back to step one.

Somebody please glut the economy and bring about the collapse of the USD.
