Do you know any other covers painted by Derek Riggs, excluding this:

Iron Maiden - from Iron Maiden to No Prayer For The Dying (incl. singles)
Stratovarius - Infinite, Intermission, Elements Pt.1, Elements Pt.2 (incl. singles from that period)
Timo Tolkki - Hymn To Life
Gamma Ray - Powerplant, Blast From The Past

Maybe I forgot something, or just don't know. It's great artist - he was painting good covers in the 80's, and so does he now using computer technology. His imagination seems infinite.

My favourit is Elements Pt.1, look at this majestic statue, combination of fire and water, incredible. Where and how he saw it? It's the best cover I've ever seen.
So, do you know more of his covers, and which one do you like most?

yes, right, and Accident Of Birth by Bruce Dickinson, it looks like a parody of his previous works with Eddie.

BNW isn't completely derek's work, only the face in the sky is, which was taken from original drawings when the album was scheduled to be called The Wicker Man.

I forgot about live albums, I though Derek was painting their covers till No Prayer..., but you're right. And in BNW case Derek is co-author. But what about other artist?
And don't you think that Gamma Ray cover of 'Powerplant' refers to much to Maiden concept? Maybe Kai was so fascinated this idea of putting the same character on covers, that he didn't notice this similarity. But on the other hand, when you look at Gamma Ray covers, this chracter is on all of them since 'Land Of The Free', but he was even at Helloween's 'Walls Of Jericho', the album where Kai is also singing.

yesterady I got A Millon light Years Away single. It has one of the best his artwork. How could he see it? Lily shape cut out of water surface with those water circle, and dolphins jumping through it, clouds and planets in background, really impressive. There is a quite big jpg file on cd with this cover, I'm gonna to print a big poster and gaze at it everyday...

Awesome artist...but i still think that he should back to draw like the old eddie style...these plastic, virtual effects in the drawings are cool, but i miss the old-way trace... :)
