I'm curious, is anyone here interested in any kind of sports? I'm asking this so that maybe in the near future I can bring up some good sports discussions.

If you do, what kind?

I like to wtch Wrestling from time to time. And, car races(is THAT a sport?). And, volleyball but it is rarely broadcast in my area.

As for playing, I am so petite that the only sport I ever played was Volleyball and I did it well! I was on the Team 4 years in a row in High School--a top server. We won the County Championship every year&State champions, once!:D
But, that was almost 25 years ago&I have not had a Volleyball in my hands in literally, years!:(

I also lifted weights in College-not as sport, just to keep in shape. I still do that sometimes--the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.....and, Lazy! :D
All in all, I'm basicly just a beer-guzzling couch potato who gets the most exercise when-er-er-You know! ;) But, even THAT :sex1: is pretty good exercise! =P However, to do a body good I imagine it has to be done more than once a week or two! :err: :red: :D

I don't do sports myself, though I do ride a bike everyday, though that has mostly to do with me being a newspaper delivery man.

I like watching wrestling (but I can't see it anymore, sicne none of the stations here shows any), some cycling (especially the Tour De France) and I usally watch important soccer matches, especially when our national team is playing. I used top watch Golf and Forumla-1 one a lot, but I haven't seen a race or game in months.

I ´ve played handball for many years, but the injuries were so strong that I retired from that. So actually I go to a fitness center, to keep myself shape, and I llike to run a lot, specially at night ( it´s a sensation of quiet and relax ...). When I was younger I played football a lot, but as a goalkeeper . I like to watch a good football match, and I like also rugby, although I don´t watch it really often.

I play/watch/coach/live rugby. Played since I was about 5 or 6 yeaars old (I'm 18 now) and I will probably continueplaying until my knees give in:D

I also do a lot of bike riding and weight training, but thats to help with the rugby ;) I dont play many other sports but I began watching WWE again recently, mainly because of the comedy factor, its got so bad now its untrue!! Just as a fact, I hate football!

@Majindiego - how has Federer ruined the game?

Formula 1 now is quite boring as Ferrari is really superior than the rest. When Prost and Senna were riding, it was amazing! also Nigel Mansell was an excellent pilot. Now Schumacher is the best, no discussion, but also he has the best car, the best team, etc, and the rest are, without the exception of Kimi Raikkonen perhaps and Alonso, medium class pilots...

And football, for me, is the classic game whre you play a ball with the feet, mainly!! the other "football" is another sport which should have another name! BTW, I prefer old rugby instead of American rugby, oh shit, sorry, Football! :P

 oh right well you cant blame him for that. And no i think formula one sucks!!!

Oh and btw I dislike football but i found it a lot more appealing to watch than American "football" which is nothing more than a watered down version of rugby. Why they have to wear all thatpadding i'll never know. You can thank whoever was the president in the early 1900s for that (roosevelt, i honestly cant remember)

Also I like that. Where I live is a good place for walking, as I live 15 meters from the beach, and only 10 kms from the mountains. Goog place for outdoor sports.

I like to watch american football, but i am also recently being socialized to *actual* football.

Not too long ago I started boxing. Also, i study some martial arts on my own time, namely escrima (cabales serrada). I plan to intensively study ninjitsu in the future.

But when i was in high school, i loved basketball more than i loved life.

I like individual sports now than when I was younger. I don´t know exactly the reason, but now I enjoy a lot more to be running for 10 kms, alone, than 15 years ago....

Agreed. "Boring" activities like running are much more enjoyable now that i'm not being forced to do them with 36 other kids in grade school.

well, on the other side, it was a kind of stimulation, like a competition against the others. Now I only compite with myself. It´s like a kind of escape, to apart my mind for a while from problems, worries, etc.

Endless walking it's just like "Hunting High and Low"

If you are plenty of time, no duties to attend, no responsabilities.... awesome! Usually I have to finish earlier than I would like to do, but I have no choice....

I love sports. I played football (the real one  ) till I was 18 and had to stop then because of a knee enjury. Since then I've done fitness and played squash. The last 6 years I played badminton. No it's not for sissy's and yes it's a real sport! I alway's played in the competition, but had to stop with that last year because of my knee again.
So now I only play for fun, but that's also very tough.

I love to watch sports also, so I had a great summer: European championships footbal, Wimbledon, Tour de France and Olympic games, can't get better than that :banana1:
I have a season ticket for Ajax Amsterdam, best football team there is!! :D

I just love to watch and play soccer, played it since I was 6 (actually I was 6 months old when I was on a football pitch for the first time) and I won't quit it unless I'm really really seriously injured.

I like to watch almost any sport there is (hockey, american football, rugby, tennis, badminton, curling etc.etc. :)) but soccer is the only game I really enjoy playing.

I think the ideea was to walk and leave your worries behind, not to be pressured by time... you get enough of that from life every day....
