I didn't and I don't plan to buy it in near future. I downloaded it first and it's not worth it.
It's just BOOOOOOOOOORING, there is completly nothing new for me. Not at all. Melodies are the same. I have no idea why the hell they put so much money in it. The orchestra sound is nothing better than they keys on Power Of The Dragon Flame. The songs are long and boring, uninspired, typical. The solos are just like before, sometimes note to note. There are two or three good songs. What is good on this album has already beed on the EP, the rest is boring. Half way thorugh the album I can't listen to it anymore. And I've always been a big fan of Rhapsody. But really the fifth album and no change... that's too much. If it was catchy at least, that'd be good, but it's not. Mr Lee has a good voice and he must have costed A LOT of money. I bet a much cheaper narrator with same good voice would do it as good. This is so far a biggest disapointment of the year, even bigger than Nightwish's Once, which is at least interesting. Thumb down Rhapsody!

edit: spelling, grrr....

I have heard the Dark Secret, which is very good imho. And with Christopher Lee, they will be more known.

Symphony of Enchanted Lands II is a quite particular album... when I heard it for the very first time, I asked myself "why?".... don't know why... it just seemed to me strange... but no in a bad way... I loved it... but I had a untelling (is that the right word to say "indescriptible"?) feeling of it...

Anyway, if you don't understan my complex mind, I resume myself: I liked the album, but there's something that doesn't fix... don't know what...

I like it, but it's absolutely not the album of the year.
Lee's voice is great, but his telling sounds uninspireïng. When you hear him I see him just reading it. I agree with Taim they could have used a cheaper narrator and there are probably some who will do it better (more believable).
With great power, there must also come great responsibility! (Peter Parker)

This is on of the most boring and uninspired albums I've ever heard. Nothing new, just the same pointless wanking, pseudoclassical arrangements and songs about dragons, heroes and swords. Rhapsody, please grow up.

What do you mean with grow up? It means that the music you like is the music of experience?

By "grow up" I meant "stop releasing totally ridiculous and cheesy music for 8-year-olds"

Hey! he mean that its time for Rhapsody to stop singing about dragongs and stuff, and come to reality! (a very hard one though) He's not talking about physical oldness!

It's great album, I was afraid about them, because POTD was nothing new and boring a bit, but this one is outstanding.
It's not metal band with orchestra and choir in the background, but it's like their put guitar, bas and drums to the symphonic orchestra as well as choir and vocal. It's really unique and innovative. New era? possibly maybe...
I thought that it cannot be anything better after Emerald Sword Saga, but they proved me I was wrong, let's wait and see how this saga will go.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?
From within.

So you call album crap without even listening it trough? And by the way, I don't know any Rhapsody fans (IRL, or in Rhapsody forum) who are 8 years old. ;)

Medieval concepts are fucking awesome and aren't for little kids. It's just something different from the normal. Sometimes it's fun to get away from reality. If I could kill dragons I certainly would. Personally, I'd rather be chopping people's heads off in battle.
