Everyone is familiar with the separate male/female anti-terrorist frisking lines at concert venues. So at the Satriani show last night, after sorting myself appropriately at the door and waiting to go through the procedure, i was told "sir, you have to go to the other line".
This happens way too often.
After growling "I'm a fucking chick" at the now-intimidated mouse with the metal detector, i briefly contemplated going over to the other line anyway and blatantly hitting on whichever male security guard ended up frisking me while pretending to be a homosexual Stryper fan.
Yeah, i'm probably just embarassing the hell out of myself here. But i have to imagine that this forum is rife with long-haired men and anything-but-pansy women. So i have to ask. Anyone else get mistaken for the opposite gender? Often? Ever?
Maybe it's just in this area that people automatically assume if you don't look like either Shakira or Ben Affleck that your genetalia must be lying to you. But it's retarded, and I'm running out of places to hide the bodies of my transgressors.

First of all... you saw STRYPER???? OH MY GOD THAT IS SO COOL!!!!
SEcond.... yea i used to get mistaken for a guy all the time, when I was younger, but that's kind of the way I wanted it.
Now I wish I could pass as a guy, it would save me so much fucking grief.
I'm fascinated with gender boundaries. Gender fucking is amazing.

No, sadly, i did not see stryper. They played a show here a little while back, and i had tickets but my transportation bit the dust, and my friend i was supposed to meet there got drunk and could not pick me up. I cried. Stryper was the first metal band i ever heard. It was tragic. Don't tell anyone i cried....

i used to invent boyfriends to get out of situations. that got difficult to maintain, so sometimes i'm content to pass as a gay chick. but with the advent of TV lesbians, pretending i'm gay usually backfires. So now i'm just a total bitch and that usually works. And i don't even have to pretend.

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks so. Have you heard of the Reimer experiment? I find this one
exceedingly interesting because A) by coincidence it's a scarily perfect control experiment, and 2) it deals with gender on the grounds of nature vs. nurture, which is another theme that interests me. If you don't know anything about it you should read up on it, it's fucking interesting.

				nope.....my boobs are too big.

:
Plus, I'm too short(5'0")Not many guys are that petite.
Sometimes I have seriously wished to be male during self-pitingly phases.....they DO get away with more in this Sexist Male Chavinistic Society we live in.They(males)are allowed to be themslves&express their raw emotions&everything else!
But, thats a whole new topic&I don't want to get depressed.....admitting you have rare but intense attacks of penis envy is revealing enough!
For example, guys can get blatantly head-over-heels sexcited over a female&its accepted.....but, when a female does it, this behavior is seen as annoying&even abnormal by narrowminded folks/SMCPs!
But, I'm one who does not give a shit--you only live once!

My son had the same "problem" as you until he was about 4. With his blond curls, pretty face&gren eyes, everybody would say,"What a pretty little girl you have!" And, i'd have to correct them&say he is a boy!
He still is very handsome--still has those pretty green eyes&blond hair.....but with his muscles, now, no one mistakes him for a female, thats for sure!

haha, right, but you've Christian gets addressed as "miss" all the time when he is approached not from the front. They just feel a hell of a lot stupider when they see the beard.

I have never been mistaken for a female. Kinda' hard to with short hair and a beard though, I admit.
I think we're all missing the most important issue here, though.
"Anti-terrorist frisking lines"??? Yes, because we all know terrorists hate...um...Satch! Surfing with the Alien? Infidel, infidel!
Although, I could see why Muslim terrorists would have a problem with Stryper...

I look much older than I am, my beard growth began when I was 14 and I'm almost 190cm tall. There is no chance in hell I could be mistaken for a girl.

Right on....Osama Bin Laden hates Satriani because of his freedom.

Never been acused of being a male. A lesbian.....yea, male no. Sometimes I dress a little like a guy, but not because I want to attract the same sex or look like one I just like some of the styles. I don't try to hide my gender, but at the same time I won't go out in some of those clothes that some women wear and which is ok for them but I don't have the figure for it. When I choose a look, I choose one that's just average, not one that hides or shows off my gender really.

Nope. I have short hair, I have a little ass, so I really look like a male. I can't be missseen (or misseen? or is there any word like that?

). Sometimes they think, that I'm 16 or 17, but now, that I'm valanced under my mouth, they sometimes think, that I'm even more than 20.
