Now that i've bitched about gender bending at the Satch show, allow me to bitch about the showgoers. And feel free to participate.
Me: <being eyed by the overrendered blonde nearby> ....oh god, please don't talk to me....just because i'm a girl doesn't mean we have anything in common...please fuck off....
Her: hi.
Me: ...oh god, no...
Her: how do you like the show?
Me: well, i was concerned that i had missed satch boogie because i arrived slightly late, so i was extremely happy that he closed with it...i've been pissing myself over this show for months. Satriani is like the godfather of god to me, he mentored Vai, and Vai is my inspiration for practically living!! Satch looked better before he cut his hair though. I wish i had been sitting closer so i could see exactly his techniques and get a better look at his guitars. What kind of pickups does he use, do you know?
Her: oh....i don't think he drives a truck. Who's Vey?
Me: Vai. Not Vey. VAI.
Her: Right. Vai. What's Vai?
Me: Nothing...i mean, no one. Never mind. Go die. Please.

Right, so what is it with metalheads' girlfriends? ? ? Why can't metalheads date other metalheads? I mean, that are girls, obviously. And why is it that metalheads' stupid girlfriends insist on believing that because i'm a girl, i know as little about metal as they do? ? ? And why must they BE SOCIAL, DEAR GOD MAKE IT STOP!!!
