So what was the last group you watched live?Did they perform good?
I went at June(yes i no it's a long time ago but not many bands visit Greece often)to see Scorpions. Not that i am a big fan of them but i didn't know if i could ever watch them live again. They performed pretty good(don't forget their age).I would like, however to hear some classic song instead of many of their new album...There are rumours that Fates Warning will come in Greece at February.I hope so......I am waiting to see Sonata Arctica one day to.The've never played here

The last show I saw was Strato/SyX/Thunderstone in Paris on April, the 19th 2003 :/ Quite long ago that is... Next sunday I'm gonna see Nightwish in Paris also, hope they will do great.

Re: Last Live You Attended?
I saw Kotipelto w/ Jens on keys a few weeks ago. Pretty good, although poorly attended (due mostly to very little advertising I suspect, I wouldn't have known there was a gig if not for a post in the Jens forum).

Uriah Heep at Tavastia.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.

This was a while ago, but I went to see Kansas play about two years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Somehow I still have an account...yay...?

Rush 30th Aniversary tour at the Shoreline. Unbelieveable, 3 hours of solid music with no warmup bands or fillers. Most excellent show. Got the tickets for only $20 too so its all the better

Re: Last Live You Attended?
Last thing I saw live was some english bands on a festival called "London Calling" in Amsterdam last saturday. It's a festival with some starting and not known bands. It was quite alright for 12,5 euros.
Before that I went to a band called the Datsuns a few weeks ago. Didn't know them, but a friend of mine took me there.
Last best thing I saw was 09 septembre. Deadsoul and TribeThreshold :banana1:

Re: Last Live You Attended?
If I don't count the Graspop festival I attended this year or Waldrock last year, I'd have to say Stratovarius/Symphony X/Thunderstone on March 29, 2003 in 013, Tilburg (The Netherlands).
I wanted to see Rammstein, but that concert was sold out pretty quick and I couldn't a ticket.

I had a backstage-pass to Rocklinna metal fest a couple of weeks ago. There I saw Deathchain, Machine Men, Turisas, Diablo, Helion, Machete, Blake, Maj Karma and Peer Gunt. They all were great bands!

Hocico, the mexican EBM/industrial duo. Great band, great music, incredible drive and energies, their singer is one of the craziest live performers I've ever seen, the guy ran and jumped on stage for 1.5 hours without stopping for a second.
Highly recommended for those who love aggressive music. Go to www.hocico.com , there are some music clips and one live video ...

Re: Last Live You Attended?
We are here in low season of shows, now, in the past the thing was more funny, but for early 2005 we are going to have good shows here in the south

Re: Last Live You Attended?
Saw Trans-Siberian orchestra last night, again. was excellent as usual but i can't stand their slow parts. it just gets sOO sappy and long winded. The other stuff is great, though, really high energy, tons of lights, lasers and pyros
Next concert: Nightwish and Satyricon (if I can afford the latter!)... then some shows i'm doing but those i guess don't count because I HAVE to be there, haha....
I want to see Sonata Arctica!

Re: Last Live You Attended?
shurik.
I went to the website and thought that band was horrible.
Horrible lyrics, bad music, too much techno feel, no talent, and the singer on the pics you gave looks like a dumbass with his knee pads.

Re: Last Live You Attended?
Last show I saw was Forgotten Tales (Epic Power Metal from Qc.), Crystal Castle (again, Epic Power from Rimouski) and Twilight Hall (Blind Guardian tribute band) in Quebec City. It was pretty good. A week before I saw Children of Bodom in Montreal...it was awsome

Well, it's a matter of taste. I can say the same things about any black metal bandfifthtea_sausage wrote:shurik.

About techno feeling - it doesn't matter if the music is made with guitars and drums or synthesizers, what matters is the energy in music, and in this concert I felt the same as on any death metal show I visited ... It's the same energies ...

The last gig I went to was Lordi at Rovaniemi last night (quite a long time ago, huh?). The monsters were great, the sound was great and the songs were great, although they didn't play a song that I really wanted to hear.... Anyway. After the great gig, the band wanted to meet me and my friends and invited us for a little backstage-visit. It was great also, like it always is.

Stratovarius in Ankkarock 2004. (their last show ever.. at least so far.)
It was truly memorable. All the great songs were there. Great energy, great show.

That is an awesome pic!
Sorry I was a little rude about it. I have to admit I guess the energy of the music was awesome.Well, it's a matter of taste. I can say the same things about any black metal band

Re: Last Live You Attended?
Last month... Children of Bodom / Lamb of God (and Fear Factory, but they were horrible). Probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. Both Alexi and Janne were having a great night... which seems to be pretty rare sometimes.
Lamb of God were brutal and incredibly good live. It felt like I was listening to their albums.
