I´ll do some arvertising here too

Anyone here who likes the band? I remember there were some... Well anyway, I highly recommend everyone to check out the new and incredible WT album! By far the best album released by any band this year.

The debut album Mother Earth was very good, but it seems with better production the band gets everything out of their material. The result is an album full of beautiful and emotional songs. Singer Sharon den Adel sounds great. Definetely one of the best (metal) vocalists in the world!

Don´t miss this, especially if you´re into Nightwish (or, okay then, Evanescence)

Nother Earth wasn't the debut album, but the album, that made them to become more known. BTW, I like their new album. I hope to see them on WOA2005.

The Silent Force is incredible album, full of fantastic songs and great melodies! I cannot even name my favorite ones because I really love them all. And IMO Sharon is the best female vocalist ever, she really sounds like an angel.

I cannot wait to see WT live at Tavastia in February!

WT fuckin rules... Enter was their debut album and I love it more then mother earth...

Yeah, Withim temptation are quite good, but I think they could or should do more with their instruments, some guitar solos for example. But yes, they have some really good songs like Mother earth, Ice queen, Restless or Enter. Of the new album I only know this song "Stand my ground", I saw the video clip thousands of times.
They`re good, but I know better bands.

they are considered one of the best dutch bands, for me is the gathering my "rank" is like this...

1- The gathering
2- Within temptation
3- After forever

Although it's not a band, but Ayreon is the best thing coming from here (Netherlands).
Probably didn't hear about that on yet?

ayreon it's pretty good, but it's like a real band... so The gathering still in my top

Yeah, for example, because Strato has many faster songs, although I´m not a fan of extremly fast songs like "Speed of light".
But I know some bands, that - in opinion of course - are even better than Strato. I listen more to gothic and dark music, so I prefer ... gothic.

I do like a couple of songs by WT, but not that much anymore...

I've heard the album twice or so and all I can is:
It boring. Except for 2-3 songs it's repetative as much as boring album can be, all the songs sound the same. No to mention that melodies are damn lame.
Honestly, I didn't have any attituide towards this album, WT is not my fave band, let's say I only like it. So, knowing the album is out, I gave it a chance. The first impression I had was... "what a lame copy of evancesnce". While E actually had some interesing moments. It's a real shame, a good band like WT goes so much downfall, they had their own sound etc, and now they give such a crap. I don't really care about it, but Nightwish was pretty disapointg this year, but this is just... miserable. Well who cares, I wish them good money

Well, Taim, that´s your opinion. I agree that WT has become a bit more commercial sounding band and that certain similarities to Evanescence can be found... But I strongly disagree about Silent Force being "lame" or that WT would only be aping E. I think the album is full of wonderful compositions and don´t care about it being "too light". And I still find WT´s sound their own.

Looking forward to seeing WT in Helsinki next February, BTW...

WT is a really good band but shame on them for not coming to Hungary. Probably the organizers are some assholes thinking that a good show can only be carried out where you can rake in a lot of money.
