Much to my boredom of the abyss of this site, I've decided to make the worst spam post ever IMO.

This is the 2004 Golden StratoLily Awards (applause please!)

Everyone here has made some good (and bad) post here. So we should give some awards to those certain people. Just nominate who you think should get the award (it can be more than one person, and yes you can nominate yourself, though I suggest you nominate yourself within reason) in the following categories:

Best Topic

Worst Topic

Newbie of the Year

Best Member of the Year

I nominate this topic for WORST TOPIC.
Actually the worst topic has to be the "What are you doing right now?" topic that browneyedgrl started. I've never seen anything lack more coherence or purpose. No offense to the author of the thread of course.

I really can't think of a BEST topic, because of all the drama and reposting that has plagued the forum this year. I'll let somebody else nominate one if they can think of anything THAT special...

I'm going to nominate myself for Best Newbie of the Year... even though I just joined a couple hours ago, I have been reading the forum for a very long time. I haven't seen many newbies in the past year who could form complete sentences and keep constructive discussion going... There are a few though, and I hope they are nominated. (Assuming this thread takes off)

Best Member of the Year-
Even though MAJINDIEGO can make me quite often, I'm going to have to go with Beast_Pete for consistency in depth and thought. browneyedgrl will always be champion of the post count.

Newbie of the Year: Bryant, SDMD and MAJINDIEGO. Bryant has interesting topics, and he seems to be an asking person. (a person who always asks questions, if this phrase doesn't exists in english...). SDMD has made an out of the (shadows) blue join to this forum and I think, he will be a big poster one day. Well, Diego was a little surprise for me. I used to think, he was a troll, 'cos so many had registered that time, and he is a wear one's heart on one's sleeve person. He has good topics, has a good avatar, and as I wrote it before, he says, what he thinks/feels.

Best member of the Year: Neorave, Jens Johansson, Tjabo ( ) and of course BEG. I didn't mention MAJINDIEGO, 'cos he's in the newbie votings.

I like the What are you doing now topic, since it developed to a combined What are you doing/How do you feel topic. Its kinda interesting to get an idea of the members life´s in general...

Too many.. but the "Hugs the world" topic was quite senseless

Actually, 99% of the folks on this Forum are great, so its a hard choice.

FAV NEWBIE--Is a toss-up between Neorave,Maka,TimotheSoulforged, HeavyMetalClickWitch,Equinox,Etc.....

FAV MEMBER--Beast_Pete, StratoHeart, TwilightSymphony, Lucid faia, Majindiego, Kharmael, Cristiane.....truly the list is endless.

Older members who deserve Honorable mentions are Cliff, Shurik, Nordic&Fireblade.

And lost members who became dear to my heart: Padme, Stratobanger, LadyofEternity,Lava, HymnToLife....Please return--you all are missed!
So many have come&gone it is so unfair to single people out this way, IMO.


Best topics IMO are-- The Person above you, Song&Word Games, Autumn Greetings, The Pic topic, And maybe this is idiot of me but, I like the Spam topics like Best song, Fav album, etc.....

And, Finaly--I give myself The Most Tolerant Award for reasons I will not disclose here!

I think the best topic has to be the Neverending Story.

Worst topic...well, originally, "What Are You Doing Right Now" had my vote. But there actually is one other topic that even exceeds it in the uselessness department....drumroll please.....BOOGA BOOGA. This topic, when i finally mustered up the lack-of-anything-better-to-do to read it, made me sit back and go "holy fuck, what a bunch of retards." BOOGA BOOGA is the sort of topic that happens when your cat logs onto your username when you're not at home and farts on your keyboard.

I believe that my Newbie of the Year vote should count less than others, as i have a frail idea of who is and is not a newbie (being a fair amount newbie myself). But, uh........TimoTheSoulforged is pretty cool.

Best Newbie: Well, it's true that i've been out for like, 4 months...trying to search my inner me...my nirvana...when when i got back i found some members i haven't got contact before...but among all them, i pick HvyMtlClickWitch...boy she rocks...she gave me a completely different point of view about americans...and you guys actually rock...at least 49% do! And she's sweet...you know...the award goes to her.

Best Member: Well, BEG is a legend, so shouldn't even be mentioned (thanks for understanding that little problem we had lately) as well as our Dinnosaurs (Twilight, StratoHeart, Lucid Faia, stratovarious etc...), and so the award must be split among Neorave, Equinox and Beast_Pete. They're chosen because i hadn't got contact with them before my return (at least not a closer one), and mostly, because of them showing me how nice they are (and the rest of the forum are), added to our glorious Witch and our Pink Floyds (yes, our Dinnosaurs), i decided to come back and post more regularly (even thou i'm still no match for those spammers! C'mon! It took me a while to know about this topio! )

Polls would be effective... assuming people nominate more and actually care about this thread.

The only downside is that one topic must be for each poll.

But that wouldn't be too terrible, if the topics were as such, perhaps:

And so on. A fair amount of nominations have been made, perhaps using polls is a good way to make it lazy-accessible.
