Has anyone noticed that the logo for AC/DC has gotten completely pop-ified?? I mean, in that horrific girly way that could only happen in the U.S. It's everywhere. Take for example the following shirt:

I had seen it in Pacific Sunwear and i was mortified, but it wasn't until today that it really sunk in, when i saw that shirt on a little barbie girl who couldn't have been more than seven years old.
I'm inclined to be personally offended. I mean, it's not exactly Savatage or Jim Morrison or anything, but still...the defilement. Christ.
Has anyone besides me noticed this going on?

Re: The AC/DC logo....
I doubt it
It doesn't look too good though.

Re: The AC/DC logo....
Its similar with Judas Priest i think. People shouldnt wear stuff they cant relate to. I dont wear baggy pants either... for example.

Re: The AC/DC logo....
no, it´s not the same with judas priest, when you have seen someone with a judas priest shist with the logo if he/ she is not a metalhead?
I think that this only happens with the tongue and lips of the rolling stones...

There's nothing wrong in wearing something you cant relate to, but the first impression of someone comes from what one is wearing.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.

Re: The AC/DC logo....
In my opinion, this a non important question. Everybody can wears whatever they want, even if they don´t know absolutely nothing about the meaning they are wearing; so..... ask AC/DC about their thoughts! If you know what it means, no matter the rest of the world...

Re: The AC/DC logo....
Excellent point, Gon.
I am not trying to make an issue out of people who wear things to be cute or retro or whatever (although there is plenty of kindling indeed for such a furnace). If kids want to do that they can go to Hot Topic and buy overpriced god-awful Carebears fuzzy slippers. But the point i'm trying to make: this is NOT hot topic. This is pacific sunwear. Pacific sunwear does not sell band shirts, they sell surf and skatewear. What i'm saying is that this shirt is on a shelf next to some retarted turtle cartoon shirt or some dorky graphic that says something like 'hang ten, fo' shizzle'. It's clear that they are not (in their own minds) marketing the band, but the logo itself. THAT is why i'm a bit queer-eyed over this.

Re: The AC/DC logo....
I'd tear it apart with pleasure, of course while someone was inside;)
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?
From within.
From within.
Re: The AC/DC logo....
well, if the company who made the t-shirts is paying royalties to AC/Dc because of the use of their logo, good; if not....another case of what we call in spanish, "piratería".
