i think they are ok, could use a bit more guitar and keys solos. love the singers voice and the melody

I think Nightwish is unbelievably boring.

However, this does not take away from the fact that I believe it is quite beautiful music.

is that a: dont like them or i like them???

Consider it as objective of a viewpoint as I can manage. I've recommended them to many people but I wouldn't listen to them in my free time.

i like them very much,my faovrite song is nemo and bless the child.
tarja's voice makes me happy and when i listen to them,i feel happy.

They are incredible but their last album Once was very boring ... Hopefully they will go back to the times of Oceanborn and Wishmaster ...

Not the band who would knock my head off, but still a quite good one. But don't kisten to it for hours, it becomes very boring.

If I hear them on the radio, I wont change frequency.

Exactly what I was going to say. Century Child was quite bad too.

Century Child was different but good, Once was just boring.

Wishmaster was boring as well. Oceanborn and Century Child are great albums tho.

Overrated, but ok... from time to time.. and their concerts are well.. whatever...

Yeah, the band is overrated but it is quite good. But not my favourites, not at all...

I really like them.....they are 2nd after Stratovarius. In my case.

Tarja is overrated in looks, but her style rocks and her voice.

about the music, Oceanborn is AMAZING! Wishmater is good too... but I still like more Oceanborn

Century child was different, bad at first, but now I love it.

Once was.... toooooooo produced, has some weak points and some strong tracks

wow, i thought most of you guys would doom them before strato, i did not think so many of you liked it (from what ive seen anyway)
i have the oceanborn cd it is very good, i like the guitar and keys, great atmosphere for the lyrics

i think nightwish is really great.. Once album was fantastic. we listened it with my friends all summer. well previous albums were good too. nowadays i really don't care to listen nightwish because i just listened it too much during the summer so i basicly bored to it (sorry, my english sucks )

I like them and their music, have been on one show. But I don't like that they have been a sellout band....hehe....

I don't like the voice of this woman ! It gets on my nerves after a few songs...

I liked angels fall first the most although no one else seems to, i think it has some really good melodies and pretty good overall songs my favourite songs are wanderlust and tutankhamon

I'm so bored with Nightwish. It's just not music that would wake strong emotions in me. Everybody's saying around here (Finland) that "Nightwish is so great" etc. Go on.

I loved Nightwish for the 2 first albums..."Oceanborn" remains for me one of the best speed-melodic (or call it as you want !) period in the late 90s early 00s years ! A masterpiece. "Whishmaster" is quite good too. After it's good enough, but on stage it's upset..
For the "Whishmaster tour" it was punchy, Metal, nice. The next tours were not good ( Wacken 2002, MetalMania 2003...), essentially cuz they're less Metal than before on stage...
I still like the albums, but it's no more my priority, far away !

I love 'em! If it weren't for the great people at Stratoforum I never would have found this band. And if I didn't love this band, I wouldn't be part of a fan club trying to form for them here in North America. I invite all North American Nightwish fans to click on my links below (though Nightwish fans from all around the world are also welcome to visit as well!).
