No, but I would like to! Does it sound like a rip-off or is it a cover?

It's not a cover, but not exactly a rip-off either, though it has some similarities to Strato's HHAL. Anyway I think Freedom Call should be smart enough to not give a song the same name as a band of same genre did a few years before. Especially if the name is somewhat unusual like "Hinting High And Low".

oh, come on, what plagiarism, don't mislead us, and don't write opinion after reading tracklist. Do you also think they copied Within Temptation (Mother Earth), Manowar (Carry On) or Helloween (Starlight)?
New Freedom Call album is really good, for me it might be now the second album of this year (the first one wil be relased September 5th

)
This album really rocks !

Sorry, bros, I didn't started this topic just because of the song's name, cause even the band's name is the same of an Angra's album. This is not the point.
The mid-tempo, the rithym, the melodies (especially the chorus) are fucking similar. Don't you think? That start "I am Hunting High, High and Low", damn...
I love Freedom Call, the album is really good (actually better than the previous ones, except the masterpiece Stairway to Fairyland), but I cannot hear this song. There is a annoying voice inside my head which repeats the word "plagiarism, plagiarism" each second played.
To me it seems like a proposital polemic.

hm... ok, let's have some polemic. I wonder what would you think if this song had different title and lyrics. Now we'll never know, but I'm sure you would never think about similarity to strato song. It works like this: you see the same title, first reaction is 'Is it cover?" - of course it's not, so if not, you wonder, what is similar, because title is the same. And when you hear the same lyrics, then you subconsciously hear the similarity.
and why it was obvious that it wasn't cover, even when only the tracklist was known, long before release date? Because Freedom Call is aware that the majority of thier fans heard Strato HHAL, so there's no point to record songs of band who play music of the same style and recorded it 5 years earlier. Recording cover-songs like 'Dancing With Tears In My Eyes' or 'It's A Sin' (by Gamma Ray), is ok, because they are great pop-hits from past decades, but why record 'young' songs of band who play in similar style?
and as regards 'plagiarism' it is similar. You cannot afford to 'smuggle' some ideas or melodies from songs that you are sure that your fans know, because they condemn you, so there's no point of doing it.
The only one thing that those songs have in common are connected with lyrics: title, begining of the chorus, and general impression of lyrics.
No similarity in music, if you don't believe, write down the notes of both songs, and you'll see you have two different notaions.
so to sum up: The same title and first words in chorus make that you think it is music plagiarism.
BTW, first discussion on this issue:

Your music knowledge and conviction about my impressions just touched me...
Nevermind this topic.

if you're going to argue like this, that's right - it's better to stop it
