I started to watch this series recently and the only question I have so far is - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Will this question ever be answered?

Sometimes this show reminds me of David Lynch or David Cronenberg movies ... It's just fucking weird and it only gets weirder ...

Well, the creators of the series have threatened to draw it out over eight seasons...at least. My fear is that by the time we finally do get the final answer, it will be so horribly convoluted due to all the plot twists it will either make no sense or be very disappointing...or worse, the series is cancelled before we even get the answer (like what happened to "The Pretender").

I do not like soap operas, and since this program is like a continuing drama, I did not start getting into it.
Dallas and Falcon Crest burned me out on Soap Operas, and Reality shows suck, too, IMO.

btw, I'm not a grouchy ass--I really am not. I know lots of people like those type of programs, as evidenced by the numbers, and thats fine. I'd just rather watch something funny and silly like Everybody Loves Raymond(Yep--that show is gone now--thats just an example).

Yeah, I fear that too, it might become the next X-Files - great premise, interesting stories but horrible and convoluted ending ... X-Files towards the end felt like the creator was making up stuff along the run ... Besides, I don't think any show that starts now will survive 8 years ...

Lost is not a reality show nor it's a soap opera :)

Maybe not technically, but isn't it a continuing drama? I watched it a few times and it seems like one episode was like a cliffhanger, and you had to watch the next one to know what happened. ??? Maybe I should watch it again. ???

I cannot live with Everybody Loves Raimond, that show is MAD funny!

But my favorite programs are the news.......I like to laugh.
