I have a feeling we've seen this already...

I haven't seen this, but it's not bad. They guy is a talent, and if he practises 24/7, then he'll become a Tolkki+May+Malmsteen+Petrucci+... :D

Something tells me he's gonna grow up with a colossal ego, and then become yet ANOTHER faceless Malmsteen/Petrucci/Vai clone.

Hes amazingly good for an 8 year old, but if he wants to get anywhere, he'll need his own style. Something which about 90% of guitar players I see lack totally.

Is this the same video that the Klaus Klattermus Nazi dude posted? :?
I feel a sense of deja vu here! :D
But, he is talented--now lets see what he does with this talent in about 10 years! :D

I dont't think his technique will change or improve in next years, because it's rather impossible to do more with guitar from technical point of view. But his ability may get worsen, if he don't practise, because his hands will change. I agree with the fact that it is playing without style, maybe it will come with time, he has no barriers.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?

UNNNNNNGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ok well it's safe to say, first of all, that despite how much i did NOT enjoy the guitar solo, that the guitar kid is better than the four year old drummer. But then, he's twice his age

Ok it's great for people to nurture kids who have potential in whtever area, be it music or sports or whatever. But seriously... kids should be going out and getting dirty outside digging up worms and like... i dunno, riding bikes and getting scraped knees and stuff.

BTW i loved this thing on Cole Marcus' bio: "At age 2, he was sitting in with daddy's gospel band at church." His bio may as well have been, "Last week he learned to use the potty."

Sorry, I know I sound bitter, but it bothers me that some day these kids may realize they never had a real childhood..

I agree with the above's above comment.
I don't think its right to take a 2, 4, or 8 year old kid and put them on National TV/make them famous. Its just bad for the kid.

Just like how Hollywood child stars always end up with serious problems by the time they become adults.
