ONLINE SHOPPING: Pros&Cons, Your Experiences

I do alittle Online shopping from a few places I trust. Since I do not believe in Credit Cards, I have to pay by check or M/O, which limits my buying capacity considerably--but, I'm satisfied, in any case.
I have just signed up for E-bay&am bidding on an item now. My son is a Veteran of E-bay, having made quite a few successful bids&purchases there. So, after a few years on the 'Net-I finally took the plunge into the E-bay circle

and have found it to be interesting! I can understand why some have become addicted to it! I hope to buy a few StratoRelated things and maybe, Cosmetic, houseware, and clothing stuff.
I do the FreebieSite thing&as you can expect, my E-mail box has to be emptied of Spam a couple times a day

But, I get great sample of things, have Won a few items, and have so many free magazine subscriptions its no longer a laughing matter.

The best item I have Won has been a TOTAL line of Redken hair products(Value $93)Also, designer perfume, Apothia(Value $59). It takes about an hour a day to cruise these freebiesites, register for samples&sweepstakes, but its worth it, I think.

I have been thinking, should I sign up too. After all Ebay is the king of... ebays.
I used to buy computer parts and music from the net because they are cheaper there. Not anymore, reason: I'm broke!

I dislike credit cards but they're a necessary evil i think.
I do a lot of online shopping, never had a problem.

But, it ain't over YET! The final bid is made tommorrow&I plan a Sneak Attack(HEHEHE) :uzi:

I will wait til the last minute&make a sneaky quick bid!
This item will save me about $50, so I want this sucker--or should I say, Pucker!

Wait a minute. We have this finnish "Huuto.net". It's an internet auction bay too and it has a nasty little option: The Legendary Automatic Bid Raiser! You place your bid and if you want, you can use the LABR to automatically raise your bid if someone else places a bigger bid. Of course, you can put a limit into it. Not sure if eBay has something like it, but if it has, I don't recommend to leave it in the last minute, because the bid raiser might place a bigger bit and you may not have enough time to place a bigger bit. Maybe to the last FIVE minutes. But that is ONLY, if eBay has an option like that. For caution.

I got on eBay not so long ago, i buy too much, in the last two weeks i bought over 20 CDs

But it's great for selling too, i bought a pair of old rollerskates from a charity shop for £5 and sold them for £30, so got good there

I have about 9 hours to get my bid back. :pissed2: If I were a vengefuk type person&knew this huzzy had that AutoBid Option, I'd raise the bid so high it would rock her world! Then, it would probably backfire&I'd have to pay my high bid!

But, that item is a great fucking item&bid--I'm not giving up, damnit!
BTW, one other way to save money on or offline, is to use coupons! I started this practice as a teenager! There is a Kroger store in the next town over&I used to save up my coupons for double-coupon day. All coupons up to 75Cents would be doubled&I got quite a few free items that way!

But, a Sav-A-Lot store opened nearer&was cheaper WITHOUT coupons, so I do not use them as much as I used to--but, I still use a few every week on things I would not buy otherwise.

The same goes for rebates--like you buy 3 things then, send in the UPC symbol&get 3dollars back. I do that sometimes, too.
Last year I saved the UPC symbols from White Lily flour&got a free Baking class DVD 90 min. long!
There are lots of ways to save money!

Well if you are really interested in buying on ebay maybe buying such a automatic bidraiserprog. wouldn´t be a bad idea..
Many ppl on Ebay use it so on really good things it´s nearly impossible to have a chance.
We sometimes get things there but I prefer the stuff which you can buy right then so no real auction stuff.
And amazon is still the best

Never had a bad experience so far with ebay. As far as other online shopping, I've only ordered from CD Universe, Amazon and Stratoshop. A couple of my CD Universe orders were lost, but it was because the Mexican Postal Service is TERRIBLE. I emailed them to let them know I never got my CDs, so they replaced my order with no further questions. It's a good site and they usually have pretty decent prices.
Equinox, on the back of your card (where the signature is) there's a number with this format: XXXX-XXX CVC are the last 3 digits of that number

i've only ordered twice online; both were from the strato-shop.
i ordered something which took two years to come (they were very apologetic and sent all this free stuff to make up for it)...
and then i ordered something else which took like two weeks.
so i don't know what to think!

I was outbid on 7 tubes of assorted colors of Outlast LipColor--the best lipstick in the World! Damn it!

I lost by only $2.00!

BUT< I found a deal on the BUY IT NOW! Option that was almost as good&I jumped on That!

Now, I have enough great lipstick to last a couple years without buying any! (Oh, I know--that's such a big problem LOL)
I got the Pink Sugar colongne I ordered&it smells good, but I like the Dreamsicle better!

I will not make any major purchases on-line. Just colognes, make-up&shit like that. I have ordered an Andrew Bordoni CD from CDBaby&got it in just a week! I may order again from the StratoShop later. I saw a couple things I really lust for

and would like to wear!

I will order my Stratovarius CD from CM after Labor Day.
As for on-line shopping, I bought some batteries today. They were abit cheaper than the dollar store(even with S/H)&I don't have to spend money on gas!

For me, all the times I bought something online, it went OK. Sometimes I even get good surprises like orderinr 80€ worth of CDs on Stratoshop , choosing Cash On Delivery to pay (my mother's credit card didn't work) and finding my CDs in my mailbox without paying a cent

No worries, you can still buy with cash on delivery.

can i make a plug? ... if you order from
www.homiciderocker.com , you won't have any problems

(BTW that's not my site, it's HvyMtlClickWitch's)
Anyway, I'm really surprised that Stratovarius hasn't done a pre-order thing for their album yet. Maybe I just haven't read enough topics in the Stratovarius-related board, but... does anyone know why they haven't done that yet? or have they just... not done it yet?

(what a stupid sentence)
