Hello-
I have been doing a bit of research on-line to see if anyone has any news on Savatage.
So far I've gotten quite a few responses saying they will be doing an anniversary CD in 2006 and Jon Oliva will be touring the states in a few weeks.
Does anyone have anything to add? I would love to hear from other 'tage fans anyway!!

I dunno... I don't track Savatage anymore. They never update their website or really do anything anymore... shame because they could really become MASSIVE if they focused on Savatage instead of 30 different side projects.
But they're my number 2 all time favourite band. Absolutely adore them.

i've lost interest after Criss O. died, but anyway... dunno about a reunion, but i wouldn't be surprised.
jon oliva is touring with chris caffery... but it's like this ghastly Jon Oliva's pain and chris caffery's faces thing... which is fine, but what i'm REALLY looking forward to is that they'll be doing some selections from earlier savatage albums which, in my humble little measley opinion, were their better albums (but then i don't like prog, strictly speaking).
and by the way, ripper owens will be touring with them. yuk. anyhow... that's all i know. they're doing a us/canada tour i guess, but as for recording? who knows? they never officially broke up as a band, just stopped doing things together, and unfortunately seperate members ended up recording dreadful things like jon oliva's pain.
wow, i talk a lot. a lot about stupid things. goodnight.

Oh, you might want to ask Soulforged The Second, he's also a huge 'Tage fan. And he's usually better at keeping up with what's going on with them than I am.

They were allegedly working on a new album, but who knows if and when that'll be out...a pity too, I was looking forward to hearing new singer Damond Jininjaharakisepokuoijua or whatever the heck his name is.

Yeah, same here. But Savatage seem content to mess around with a total of like 50 side projects, instead of focus on Savatage. If they did that, they'd be huge.
