Nice one! Probably my favorite GR album... although I loved the last one just as much.

Last ones I got:

Savatage - Edge Of Throns
Place Vendome
Blind Guardian - A Twist In The Myth

CMX - Rautakantele

This was my first CMX album, well but I like it. Basically I think it's like combination of Finnish pop and Dream Theater.

Cradle of Filth - Godspeed on the devil's thunder

Interesting album, one of the better albums of 08.

Cradle of Filth - Live bait for the dead

Dunno, I think Dani isn't nearly as good live as in studio, though I think it's ok live album.

Double post, but whatever;

In Flames - A sense of purpose

Imo good album, atleast better than most people say.

Meshuggah - Obzen

A little bit simpleish, but awesome anyway.

Blind Guardian - A twist in the myth

This is definately best (metal) album I've got in ages, I just love this thing. (though Hansi's vocals are abit floppy sounding at some points...)

I'm a happy user of Spotify, haven't bought any albums in a while.

Compared to some of their earlier album, ObZen is more simple. But Meshuggah are never simple, at least not for a non-musician like myself. I would characterise them as repetitive and complex.

Awesome band, almost hypnotic.

CMX are cool too, it's strange that not more metal fans are into them. They have some really dark and heavy stuff. Maybe they are too 'pretentious', like Tolkki once put it in an interview.

Finally I had time to hear Tarja Turunen's "My winter storm". Well, "another" Tarja sounds pretty good! :) Unfortunately I cannot say the same about "another" Nightwish... :?

Well, other than albums by the Metropolitain Orchestra of Montreal performing various pieces, I got:
Coldplay - Prospekt's March
Coldplay - Viva La Vida (which was back when it came out months ago !)

I never buy albums anymore....

36 Crazyfists - The Tide And Its Takers

Seems to me like the band has grown up... 8) I like it very much, combines the aggressive elements of the first album with the more melancholic ones of the 2nd, and leaps the weak 3rd album.

Revolution Renaissance - Age of Aquarius

A bit of a disappointment, but the non-metal songs are really good. :P

Subway to sally - Kreuzfeuer

Veery nice album, no bad songs and the faster songs are pretty good too.

Ayreon - Into the electric castle

Awesome album, instantly became my second-favorite album. (I still prefer 01011001 over this.)

Revolution Renaissance - New Era

-Few good songs like Heroes, Last Night on Earth, Revolution Renaissance.

-I don't Like Pasis vocals in this one. He did well with Thundestone but here his singing doesn't fit the music.

-Great Instrumental work

Revolution Renaissance - Age of Aquarius

-Great stuff from the beginning until the end

-Real good atmosphere throughout the album, it's not the songs but the album it wouldn't be complete without a single one of them.

-Not rushing anywhere yet some nice heavier parts

Hammerfall - Chapter V: Ubent Unbowed Unbroken

-Outstanding guitars

-Joacims vocals at their best

-Nice mix of fast power metal heavier sounds and the best backing choirs in metal music

-I love each song with the exeption of Imperial and Take the Black

The last albums I got:

Artension - Into The Eye Of The Storm
(I would recommend this band to anybody who prefers more keyboards)

Revolution Renaissance - Age Of Aquarius
- Good CD, my favourites are AOA, 'So She Wears Black' and 'Into The Future'

and some others, Lamb of God - Wrath
Obscura - Cosmogenesis
Adagio - Dominate

The first two on the list, my favourite :D

Actually bought the first 3 albums in an attempt to make my collection piracy-ridden! Only 230 albums to go! Yay me!

Stratovarius - Visions: This is one album I just wanted to be the first album I ever got. Simply perfect.

Johansson - The Last Viking: I had downloaded two versions of this album, but one was bad (had some gaps) and the other didn't have Samurai (it's a bonus track), so I decided it would be included in the first batch as well. Not to mention it's an awesome album, the best I've listened to in some time.

Mob Rules - Among The Gods: I had downloaded numerous versions (apparently it's always the same version, repackaged) and all of them had a minor gap, so it's included in the first batch as well. It's an awesome album as well, everything Mob Rules creates is great.

My plan is to keep buying 3 or 4 albums every month, to gradually replace my downloaded collection. I'll start with albums I really like or that I don't have a "good enough" downloaded version already, and also albums that I really like (the whole Stratovarius discography from 4D onwards, for example).

Eventually I'll have to throw stuff away to make place for the CDs. :D
