Helloween - Rabbit don't come easy

I HAD to get this immediately when I found it, I loved the single song.
Well but talking about the album itself...
First listen I think the album is basic hellopowermetal, some cool ideas and nice tunes. But after all it's nothing super special, I still prefer Gr over this, Solid alone pwns every song on the album.

I actually like RDCE a lot. A kind of underrated album. Open Your Life, The Tune and Liar kick so much ass!

Last one I got was Helloween Live in Sao Paulo. A birthday present I gave to myself

Vanishing point - Tangled in a dream

Not listened yet. Edit: still haven't listened completely, but Surreal is cool stuff, I recommend this album. (Löytynee halvalla Anttilasta, ainakin Oulussa, erillinen hylly näille "tuntemattomille")

Revoltons - Night visions

Well I'd say this is exactly how it's described, progressive power metal "a'la Helloween & Dream theater", only bad things are that the music sounds boring (whish is NOT because it's progressive, it just happens to be, though I think I'll get used to it) and that the singer sounds like a bad combination of Kiske and LaBrie, but the whole fact that he's terrible makes me kind of like him.

Timo Tolkki - Hymn to life

Calm, but cool album. I liked the songs of the later half more.

Star One - Space Metal

Overally not as cool as I thought, but anyway the few highlights made up for it, Set your controls is a masterpiece, and pretty much all of the choruses were really good.

Cradle of Filth - Thornography

Though I love the quality of sound, and the vocal style. The writing wasn't that awesome, only Really cool songs were Dirge inferno, Rise of the Pentagram and Foetus of a new day.
Btw, what the fuck is Temptation, the video ruins the whole imago of CoF.

Opeth - Morningrise

Listened only once so far (and I skipped the bonus), but I think this album was still really nice, it was way easier to acces than Orchid. (Which I see as a bad sign).

Opeth - My arms, your hearse

Listened only once so far (and I skipped the bonuses), but I think this album was still really nice. I didn't listen to it with full thought because I was reading the lyrics. But what I catched sounded fine.

Opeth - Watershed

This was very refreshing after Mr and Mayh, really easily accessible album.
Anyway I love the songs, my favorite part is definately the solo in The lotus eater.

Also Hessian peel sounded awesome.

Helloween - Master Of The Rings expanded edition

I had to start my Helloween (and other bands) collection from scratch. I'm only missing Walls of Jericho, PBGA and Chameleon now. Before I got married I sold a lot of CDs that we both had. Now that I'm single again, I was left with like 40% of my CD collection gone.

So, people, don't sell your CDs!

well, it's a good album, but honestly, the spirit of the 80's/early90's has left... Slash is missing though the other guys playing quite nice solos...

Have to listen it more and more... After the first run, I'd say that it starts pretty good n strong and becomes weaker and weaker...

For me it's the opposite way.....after the first run I thought something like "might have been much worse" but later I started with "quite good", "a little better than quite good" etc.

Decent for a legend.

Metallica - Master of Puppets

Great but maybe alittle bit not worth it's reputation.

Metallica - Load

Not interesting, my player didn't like the disc so I didn't bother to listen more than the first 2 songs.

Metallica - St.Anger

Nice album overall, though abit simpleish with all the speed and attitude.
I like it abit more than I hate it.

Black Sabbath - The dio years

Dunno what to say, not exactly interesting music, but I'll just call it good.

Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the beast

Awesome album, I should have gotten this alot earlier. (though it's not as great as Nymphetamine imo)

Gamma Ray - Powerplant

One of the best albums I bought in 08, actually it's the last one I bought in 08.

I've got couple of other albums I haven't listened to yet, I'll "announce" them after that.
