Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night

This is the best band from the silly '70s progressive movement.

Avantasia - Lost In Space Pt. 1 & Pt. 2

I wonder whose idea was to record ABBA cover :?  . Anyway, all the covers (3 or 4) on these albums are not too good  . The new songs are a bit better, like The Story Ain't Over, but nothing somehow special.

But what really sucks is the Avantasia player :x . That's terrible. The person who created it deserves :twak:

@blackdeath: Which abba song did they cover

Last CDs: Bought on Monday (again with this pay 3 get 4 offer):
- Nightwish: Once
- Dimmu Borgir: Stormblast
- Blind Guardian: A Twist in the Myth

and for a friend of mine, so that we have four:
Hammerfall - Threshold

and on Tuesday (well, we wrote a geography test and it was very bad and so I had to make me happy though I got enough cds the day before ^^" )
- Circle II Circle: Watching in Silence

Hm...for 5 CDs it wasn't very expensive...paid 24€ for the first 4 and then 10€ for CIIC :P I always lurk for these offerings
Like a glacier melting
watch me dissipate
I looked for love in an empty world
but all I found was hate

ABBA-cover would've been a good idea if it wasn't the same song (Lay All Your Love On Me) that Helloween already covered on their Metal Jukebox.
The Story Ain't Over is one of my favourite songs of this year. Another Angel Down and Promised Land are good, maybe a bit too generic power metal, but I hope that's just the reason why they were released on EPs. :)
I had great expectations for these EP's and they didn't dissapoint. I even like all the covers.

I wasn't desappointed too, but I didn't have great expectations :) .
It seems that Another Angel Down will be on The Scarecrow album :), as well as Lost In Space.

Iron Maiden - Killers
Iron Maiden - Live at domington
The beast of Alice Cooper
ManOwar - Hymns of battle
Teräsbetoni - Metalli totuus

Well...not anythgin I wanted...except for the Live at domington, AC and TB weren't even in my wishlist :D
Well but anyway, pretty much all the same, Killers made me a bit...I thought it wasn't too good except most of the songs were fine, then came the Alice Cooper which healed my Headache, althrough it was pretty much nothing but boring hardrock...
And the "battle" theme bands, MOw and TB were pretty similar, just fine for me, I might as well listen to these even again when I'm in need of some fightning will :D

DT - Systematic Chaos

Well...I like it, it's not so far anything as good as The root of all evil, Another won, Raise the knife or Octavarium, but it's still pretty awesome.

I got that for Christmas, But the last albums I bought were Score (CD version) and Metropolis Pt.2 Scenes from a Memory.
Both are amazing.

I think it sucks that they put Judas, which they originally only released as a single, on latter editions of that album to make it longer. It doesn't belong there and I always skip it. :P Great song though, but I already got it on Walls Of Jericho.

Damn, all this talking about Keeper 1 made me want to listen to it.

Dream Theater - Awake

Once listened, but it's just fine, especially the more powerfull songs like 6.00 and The mirror...and Erotomania was cool too.
Also the slower songs were fine, one listen so no much picture of them anymore, but I quess Space dye vest was best of these (avaruuden värinen aluspaita :D )

The solo on Voices is Petrucci's finest work in my opinion. An outstanding display of technical skill and feeling.

And Space Dye Vest is a stunning composition. Kevin Moore leaving the band was a huge loss and I don't know if what they've achieved so far could compare with what they might have achieved with Moore.
