mightyrhapsody.com (lol) wrote:In November 2005 Italian Film Score Metal icons RHAPSODY are poised to release their first live album ever ! The recordings will be based on performances made during leg one of MANOWAR's 'Demons, Dragons and Warriors World Tour' where RHAPSODY appeared as the special guests in spring 2005.
This recently completed first leg of the tour was highly acclaimed for its striped down and performance oriented arrangements, which allowed the band to prove that the music is the message. No track list has been released yet but RHAPSODY's record label Magic Circle Music announced the songs played during the shows included old favorites and tracks from their latest release Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret. More to follow.

That's pretty cool! I'm not a great fan of live albums personally, but their setlists from that tour were really great.

Well, that's something I MUST BUY! Even though I have heard some negative feedback about the live-perfomance of Rhapsody..

I'm waiting for a full tour list to appear on the site more than to this CD. It would be cool to hear them in WOA2006 with orchestra.

Re: Rhapsody to release live album
well, I saw them once live on tour with stratovarius on Infinite-tour, but they didn't convince me. I like their music quite a lot (got 3 of their albums), but I think they are not really a live-band, so IMO a live-album is not such a great idea. Or did they change their live-appearance?

Re: Rhapsody to release live album
quite old news...
right, it would, but I doubt it. This year Rhapsody played at Masters Of Rock. It was certain for me, that they would play with orchestra, but it didn't happen. It was strange for me, the more so because after them Manowar played with orchestra and choir, so everything was ready - orchestra pit, musicans and conductor. It was a matter of few rehearsal before, but they did not do that. So it would be more difficult to hire orchestra specially for them in Wacken. But who knows...Beast_Pete wrote:I'm waiting for a full tour list to appear on the site more than to this CD. It would be cool to hear them in WOA2006 with orchestra.
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?

Well, I've been to Earthshaker especially for Rhapsody (Nightwish 've been great, too), but that missing orchestra is exactly the point why they don't sound like on CD (I love all of them!). There's something missing. Just hoping Alex' drum solo will be on the DVD, this solely would be worth the purchase - crashing thunder, never seen before
