For those of you who didn't know, Adrian, the high-speed bassist of DragonForce, left the band to spend more time with his family. No new bassist has been announced as yet.

Oh man... That's a shame.. The songs of the "Sonic firestorm" required a good bassist. Hopefully they find a new soon.. Maby I could look for that job :D

....now if the rest of the guys would just leave the band as well everything would be sort of OK

*coughNeonVomitcough* :D :D :D

I wish. I suppose I could do the job, but I don't have the experience, connections or background though. I can handle pretty much all DragonForce songs, they're not TOO difficult on bass, but yeah. I'm only 22 anyway and still in University.

Thank god, Adrian Smith did not leave Maiden. In that case it could mean that Bruce would have been gone to, since Adrian Smith left when Bruce did.

He actually left after Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Bruce left after Fear of the Dark.

ANYWAY let's PLEASE not talk about anyone leaving Maiden!!! :D

Oh shit that is right. I forgot about that. Fear Of The Dark then brought in Janick Gers.

Haha well it would be cool, but I'm sure they know people far more experienced than me. Plus at the end of the day I want to finish my degree before joining a band.

Yeah, but getting my degree is my number 1 priority in life currently. So I don't really want to try, in the 1 in 9123122432143233 chance that they might actually want me I won't have to make a very hard decision.

Yeah, I know. I'm currently putting together a bunch of stuff to send in. I've got a live bass solo, me with one of my bands playing a song I wrote, a video of me with my other band playing black metal (but I have short hair in it :D) and a bunch of pictures. I need to record something else though, I'm thinking of setting up a drum machine and a video camera and recording myself playing some basic power metal basslines. Must get round to that soon.
