Becks, HB!!! and Soproni!!! (hungarian)
Nothing to say.
Re: Beer - i like it
Beck's is pretty good, I'll admit. It's a German beer, right? Hmmm, I may drink a few of those tonight.Hellovarius the Simple wrote:Becks, HB!!! and Soproni!!! (hungarian)

Re: Beer - i like it
No beer for me.
Toutes choses étant égales, par ailleurs, la solution la plus simple est toujours la meilleure.

Perlenbacher Gold, one beer which Lidl is selling (not here though), but in plastic bottles.
I think we laugh at that here in Finland because here we don´t have beer in plastic bottles at all, at least yet.

The mere thought of that will now cause me to order a shot or two of Jack with my beers tonight!

Re: Beer - i like it
I've had lots tonight, my head hurts and I was a bit silly! Oh well, maybe when i'm sober I can fix things?
Re: Beer - i like it
The bad thing about plastic beer bottles is that they are much less fun to throw at bands that are playing behind a chicken wire fence in bars that have a bad reputation for rowdiness.IceBreaker wrote:It seems Germans can do everything with beer.miditek wrote:Beer in plastic bottles? Sacrilege!

Re: Beer - i like it
I won't drink beer or other alcohol during one academic year. It's not permitted under 21 in the US, and I don't want to break any law here.

I love beer. I really do. Too bad I can't afford the good imported ones.
I'm not being anti-American (you have to be careful these days), but don't you think that Budweisser is the most overrated beer in the world? I mean it has absolutely no taste.
I will spend the next week in Spain (from Tuesday), they have some good strong beers there, believe it or not. Voll Damm is great, 7,something%.
@Stealth, let's get academic . Enjoying alcohol for many is just a ritual to enter the free time. Of course alcohol plays a part in behaving differently, but I wouldn't overestimate it's effect. It is the fact that you are sitting in a pub with your mates, having a pint that makes you more casual. I remember reading in a science magazine once that some guinea pigs were given drinks they were told contained alcohol when they did not. After a while this group of people were a lot more talkative, as if they had a booze-up.
EDIT: Oh yeah, this is a response to your post in which you said it's sad when people can't have fun without beer.

Re: Beer - i like it
Well, I love beer&I am getting a six-pack when I come home tonight! I still enjoy Natural Ice 5.9% and I do drink responsibly. At home¬ on the road.
Yes, a person does not have to drink to have fun, but it does help one relax even when alone after a shift at work.
Its the weekend, so Enjoy!

I'll be having some Adnams Broadside tonight. Either that or Old Speckled Hen.
It was strange getting used to English ale, but it's awsome.

Oh, and I enjoyed Finnish lager quite a bit. Koff and Sandel were great, if I remember correctly. Those 12 packs are the reason I don't remember most of my trip

Of the Finnish "cheap" lagers Koff is my fave, softer than the others.
My brother has a German flatmate, his mom came to visit him and she brought 60 bottles of German beer with her. Gotta go there tonight.
