OK, this is what I consider as basic-democracy...

This "wait a while between posts thing" sucks in my opinion.

It is annoying, but maybe the Administration put it there to slow spamming. buy, I posted 4 in a row last night&had no prob.

I think she, the mysterious Mod takes orders from Administration&would/could not remove it anyway.

I think it's a good thing. Prevents flooding and spamming. Leave it there.

Man... That's the negative aspect of democracy...

Not many want to admit that they, themselves, are "spammers". Everyone naturally thinks their own posts are sooooooooo brilliant. At least I know lots of mine are "off the wall"!

This reminds me of a situation on another forum I post on.

People just sign up, and post repeatedly over and over and over and over and over and over etc. This is called flooding, and it's incredibly annoying and slows down the server like hell.

This is the sort of spamming I was thinking of. Not the normal innane bullshit that we all post because we're bored, but people who are bent on annoying the hell out of everyone by posting repeatedly over and over in a short space of time.

So in order to prevent this, the delay was introduced. And since this forum seems to be moderator-less, I think it could do very well by keeping the current delay.

Sometimes i've had to wait 10mins for it to clear which is annoying, i think a 2minute delay would be fine, or even one minute.

I had the same problem! I deleted all the cookies and stuff and then everything worked properly.

Really?? For me it's like 30 seconds. Definately a server problem.

Actually, I could care less.

And, I don't think this forum is moderatorless. It's just that for the most part it is very peaceful here, and when a troll shows up they are warned pronto&kicked to the curb.

It's sometimes a nuisance, but really it's a necessary evil. It's a safeguard against a lot of potentially BAD things that could happen. Imagine what that Design_Promote whateverbot could do if that rule weren't in effect.

Same goes for the >certain postcount to start new topics rule.

I don´t know how long does it take in my PC but at least very long. So I guess too that this is a server problem.

Their spamming is not so serious than this problem. What do you think that you are allowed only to write 1-2 posts before getting this limit which then lasts many many minutes? I suppose the most members haven´t got the whole time 24/7 being online here. I think about this "rule": MAN THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :pissed3: :puke:

I voted with a yes. It's really annoying, when I feel like writing. Nowdays I try not to spam that really, I don't post in the World Game, Now Playing (I stopped that a long time ago) and to such topics. But when somebody would like to post to 3-4 serious topics in just minutes, and has just a little time, then it's REALLY annoying to wait.

And I don't know, how long we have to wait, but sometimes I can post immediately, sometimes I have to wait several minutes. That's just weird.

One way to solve the Flooding problem: everybody get rid of their PCs&get Webtv's!

EDIT: funnily enough, i got one of those "you have to wait before you post" messages while trying to post this

I am able to post 4 posts before I get that message. I can live with that! These days thats all I have time to do anyway.

If you start to compose a post, and you wait, let's say, 30 minutes and send it then, then you'll see something funny.

I voted for "I don't care".. sometimes it's annoying.. but I don't really care..
