Some weeks ago, Tuomas has told in an interview that a new singer has been found to replace Tarja in Nightwish...Now, there is another statement about the situation which denies the fact that the band has found a new frontwoman. It's strange, isn't it???

NIGHTWISH: New Singer Has Not Been Found - Dec. 20, 2005

Finland's NIGHTWISH, who recently parted ways with longtime frontwoman Tarja Turunen, have issued the following statement via their official web site:

"Several [media outlets] have spread information about a new singer of NIGHTWISH but every single word has been a lie. We ask people not to believe everything that is told. We are not searching for a new singer yet and any kind of negotiations with any singer has NOT yet seen daylight."

Well, let's see what will happen next year, and i think it's not necessary to hear and believe all the things that medias can bring...

But, according to a source who works at NB and whose I know, NW has found a singer...That's really strange and shocking! Maybe, she wasn't the right singer for them... Well, let's see in the new year.

And anyway, there will always be rumors, so whatever you hear, i guess wait for the right source (i.e. Nightwish themselves!) before you draw any conclusions...

but on topic, i guess yea it will be strange to hear a new singer for Nightwish, but things change and have to go on...

it would be nice to see an unknown lady as the new singer, so all speculations
would fall down, then it'd be a surprise for all

It was written in an interview that Tuomas gave for a US magazine or something like that...I don't remember the name of this magazine, but I'm quite sure he told that they found someone who could be the new singer and that they began to train with her...What one of the guy I know who's working at Nuclear Blast has confirmed to me. I don't know if it's totally true, I believe that the information is good, nevertheless : the band has decided since october 2004 to fire Tarja out of the band, so why they would have not looking for Tarja's replacement since this date? It seems illogical to me that they would have not found a new singer...
