So here i was, just popped into TESCOs and bought some snacks for a party at my church and was walking there when i was stopped by these 2 black guys, the first one says 'What ya got, what ya got??' and the other says 'I got a screwdriver so don't try nothing'. Sure enough he had a screwdriver. So one asks me for some money, i tell him i only have a couple of quid, i give them my wallet. 2nd due puts it in his searches through it and puts it in his pocket. 1st dude asks me what the bulge in my pocket was, i tell him it's my phone, he says he doesn't want my phone. WTF!?!?! So he says again i want £1 that's all, so i say can i have my cards back then, cos they won't be able to use them. Amazingly they give them back! Then he asks where the notes (money notes) are, i say i don't have any, showeed him where they usually are in the wallet and there were none there. So i ask for my wallet back as they won't need that either, so they empty the change, take that and give my wallet back. All that and all they got was £2.50!!!

I'm glad you are ok. Fortunately they didn't get away with much.

I've been robbed twice out of about 6 attempts. One time I've been threatened by a guy with a gun. I was with two friends on my birthday and this guy told us that if we tried to run, he would blow our heads off. I'm glad to say that in the end, nothing happened (long story).

Shouldn't have cut your hair. They wouldn't have robbed you if you hadn't cut your hair.

OMG, that is really frightning. You handled yourself very well, IMO--I don't think I could've maintained any type of composure like that. I'm glad you are OK, and I hope you reported it to the police, although probably they cannot do much under the circumstances.
Well, at least they did not take the snacks.

Well i phoned the police when i got home at 21:00, finished speaking to them at 21:30 cos they kept transferring me, and they said someone will come round to take a full report, fortunately they came with 25mins! Which is no way like the normal local police! They usually take a day or two to come

If alot of people in that neighborhood have been robbed by thugs like that, maybe the cops might could catch them. They might could trap them someway, then pull them in for a line-up&they could be identified......Well, that's how it's done in USA. Small-town USA, anyway. I hope they catch 'em because odds are, these hooligans will get braver until they do something really stupid&somebody might get seriously hurt!

There's loadsa blacks round here so it would be hard. And it's pretty high crime too, but they have put a lot more cameras in now in the town centre, which is good.

Untrue. My friends live in one of the worst etsates of london, and they;re a bunch of metaller's with long hair. No one has ever bothered them. Apaparentely peopte;le are scredaed of meteallers.

sure, goths are pretty scary from a distance, get close to them and they seem a hell of a lot worse (dont worry i think it looks cool, but to non metal heads they are as creepy as it gets)

Probably the worst part of town in Omaha is North Omaha. We have craploads of gangs, and you pretty much need a bullet-proof vest in order to survive up there.

The guy was nervous. As you can imagine, robbing someone with a gun in broad daylight can be stressing. Anyways, we were telling him "don't worry, relax, we'll give you everything, no problem, stay calm". Ha, I still remember everything... That was a weird day... long story.

If you ask me, I think it is completely irrelevant. What about identifying white thugs in, let's say, Boston... Would we say "there's loads of whites around here so it's hard to catch them"?

OK for me, i find it harder to distinguish the difference between black people. A lot of them look the same, wear the same clothes, have the same haircuts around here.

You know, there's much more genetic variation among blacks than among whites. I could hardly see the resemblance between a Somali and a Namibian... I guess where you live, all blacks have exactly the same background and all of their ancestors came from the same town.
