I'm coming to Athens at the end of February and staying there for 3,5 months. I was just wondering if any Greek metal-fans know if there is any good metal bands coming to Athens during that time

And also I would like to know if there is any "metal-bars" in Athens

That's true I just don't know any Greek metal bands Nightfall sound familiar. I'm also interested to see how the atmosphere in concerts in Athens differ from concerts in Finland Like night and day

Here is the other one the Greek scene is mostly black & dark metal, for some bizzare reason but they sure do it damn well

Naer Mataron are fucking amazing, see if you can catch them. So are Deviser and keep an eye open for Varthron too. Necromantia are also minor legends there.

Rotting Christ recorded their gig in Athens at 15th of January. So I don't think they will make shows during this time.
Greek bands get no big promotion, and only if you search a lot, can you find what you are searching for. Battleroar are good too, you should check them out!

I think that you should also check: Biomechanical, Firewind, Mystic Prophecy, Inner Wish, Raw Silk, Fragile Vastness, Wastefall, Septic Flesh. These Greek bands I suggest you for the moment More to come in the future

The Greek metal scene is one of the most vibrant and active in Europe at the moment. Take full advantage of it.
