Your biggest fears

Post by Metalsoul » Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:49 pm

In my life I'm facing too much times with things, bringing to me much fears.Death? This have not be scaring much me and the people at all,but it is.May be 'cos many times we say, that no answers wasn't find-no one didn't relive again after it's death to say to us what in fact there is.
Other things-the usual are frightening me much or less, but may be the war and going to some end of human being's evolution, the end of all-Apocalypsys and may be some other evil, causing to all damages.
The faers put some kind of chains of all. They stoped many things.Sometimes this cost someone's life. The faers stoped and our development, free and may be everything in our life.
If someone wants to say something to me,and to all in this topic-let's do it.I'll respect all opinions, ideas and thoughts.

Death before I've lived my life. The same about my loved ones.

Some sort of debilitating crippling terminal illness.

Welcome to the forum Metalsoul!

I have strange fear actually... I don't want to get old. Seeing all this aged people having Parkinson, Alzheimer. I don't want to lose my life, I don't know if you get my point.
My fears are basically with illnesses, especially those mentioned above and some other ones like cancer.

Vertigo! Damn vertigo, it's my worst enemy... I don't go to amusement parks because virtually all the "amusements" involve vertigo, and I can't stand it! I never went to a roller coaster and I'm not planning to do it any time soon.

SOLUTION: Go lay in the road for 10mins, you will die and you'll never get old :D You can't have both you either get old or die.

For illnesses, eat lots of Vitamin C :D

Of course man. What point is there to life if you can't be happy? I'd prefer something terrible to happen to me than to happen to anyone I love. Sounds a bit selfish, huh.

That something will happen to my child--I don't think I could live without him.

That I will lose my sight--I'd rather die!

That I'll die a painful death, or have some disease like Cancer&live a long time in agonizing pain.

That I will be a vegetable--I rather my loved ones just pull the plug.

That I will totally lose my health when I get old.

That I will fall into utter, total financial ruin with no way to get out of it.

Tornadoes--I have nightmares of dying in one!

Not so much fear as in a concern, to live an unfulfilling empty life... death i dont mind, of others, if it must be so, won't enjoy it but dont fear it, loneliness... maybe, but its more of a hope to find someone than a fear of not doing so...

I don't have any fear in me. Why to have? If I fear something, it still can happen... or maybe the possibility will be higher because of the fear.

Not selfish at all! I'd much prefer to suffer than have someone i love suffer.
Here's the catch. If I suffer and die, then that's it for me, all over, the end, etc.

Those who live on will be miserable though. I don't want to be miserable, hence I'd prefer something to happen to me than to a loved one.

That is selfish, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

I know what you mean. For me, hmmm it may be hard to explain, and seem a bit strange, but if i was to die, most people i know would mourn for me (because i am gone), but it would be more happy and it would be great comfort to them that i am in heaven, therefore they would not mourn that i am dead, just that i am not around, because one day we would see each other again in heaven.

Yeah, problem is a lot of the people I know are atheists, so that would be of no comfort to them.

I hated it when people came and told me 'he's in a better place now' when my friend died in an accident aged 19. He should by all rights be here now living his life. I hate it when people try to make death look like something unimportant and meaningless.

I don't think death is meaningless but I don't really fear that... of course I don't wanna die right now, I feel like there's still a lot to do, but if it happens, what the ones that remain here can do? Accepting someone is dead and maybe is in some better place is better than spend a life time crying for one that's not here anymore. I think we should try to keep good memories instead, not only think about what the person should be living here.
maybe death has a purpose after all. I believe every one has mission here, so maybe when it's accomplished, your presence in this astral plan is not "necessary" anymore.
of course this is related to religious thoughts, maybe it's only a fantasy I believe in order to accept my beloved ones and I will die someday... but if it makes me feel comfortable when I'll have to face death, why not? =)

as for my deepest fears:
spiders = they're ugly, mean, scaring, venous and I'm allergic to insects.
people = some are as mean and venous as spiders, but contrary to them, people are unpredictable... they can stab you on the back when you're less expecting it.

It's okay, if someone has a good place in the Heaven, but everyone should be let to live a good life too before going to Heaven.
