Unfair play :-(

I’ve just seen Olympic figure skating… :x I’m just speechless! OK, Japanese was the best there TODAY but… What about Cohen and Slutskaya?!! How is it possible to estimate so high Cohen when she fell 2 times and made so many mistakes but in the same time Slutskaya skated faultlessly and just one her falling spoiled her performance??? What happened with judges??? Slutskaya is the best and everybody knows it!.. :?

There’re two things I think about all this Olympics. :? One is that the USA have too large ambitions and the second one is that Olympic Games are unfair though it’s not a place where everybody must show their political correctness. Salt Lake City Games showed so many judge’s mistakes and unfairness… But they haven’t learned anything. I’m speechless.
:?

You probably remember the controversy that happened at the Salt Lake games, where the French judge gave the Russians a better score than the Canadiens. Well, because of the new scoring system, it could probably screw over some skaters. It's like college football's Bowl Championship Series: a lot of kinks, no one likes it, but no one wants to deal with it.

Neorave, don't get me started on the BCS!! It's a fucking popularity contest. I was so glad to see USC get beat in the Rose Bowl.

Back to skating. I think the U.S. has the same ambition every other country has, and thats to win. Last time I checked that was called competition. Doing a little more research, I also found out that the whole point of the Olympics was to compete. Maybe we ought to boycott the next Olympics so people would stop complaining about the big, bad, evil U.S. .

They both fell. One fell once, another twice. It's figure skating, not boxing. Maybe they liked her overall program a little better. Who knows.

If Sasha Cohen is upset about her falls, I would be glad to lend her my shoulder to cry on

I'll agree with you about political correctness. I hate it, and oppose it wherever it lies, I especially hate it when people(government) place a higher premium on political correctness than on common sense, or safety. Yes, I'm mad about the leasing of our ports to the UAE.

The sports question I'm burning on is, Why the hell did the Orlando Magic just trade Steve Francis to the Knicks, for PENNY HARDAWAY!!??!!?? A shell of the player he was for us when he began his career here in 1994. Penny is a has-been. The Magic continue as the most poorly managed basketball team in the NBA.
