I have read right now that maybe Angellyca from Forever Slave will replace Tarja by Nightwish. She's a top contestant and is in the next round. Firstly, Nightwish has to decide; Their final decision isn't spoken yet.
Everything is top secret so she can't explain how this news went public.

So Angellyca gave this statement on the 6th of December, that was before Nightwish posted their news on the 20th of december


I wouldn't like to hear Miss K singing in Nightwish--i don't like her voice :yuk:

Finally, I have read the news from a magazin, Rock Hard, page 9 in the middle... That's really new But don't ask me from where the mag has the news....

I haven't bought the new RockHard yet (not enough money this month ), but as you can see, they did just refresh old news The news about this girl could be read at blabbermouth in december yet, as you can see here.
Magazines like RockHard and Metal Hammer need some time to deliver the news.

So wrong rumors, again, it seems.. Maybe we should just wait till the name of the new singer can be read on nightwish.com

Anyway, i have listened to a song by Forever Slave.. Great voice

Why, don't we wait the commentary of Tuomas and the guys of Nightwish?? If I don't wrong Tuomas will say something in half of year.

I think that the next album will be the most important (about their career) for the band. To be honest I am very curious about the new vocalist

I think next Nightwish album will be called "nightwish". And no, angellyca will NOT be the next singer. Although its voice it's awful, live is even worse. The worst female singer I've ever heard in my life. In studio you can say that her voice sounds well, obviously because of pro-tools , you know. But live... is an inferno, bad, horrible...

BTW, does anyone know who Antero Niitymäki is? I honestly have never heard of her before Jens here mentioned her.

Antero Niittymäki is a he. The goaltender of the Finnish ice hockey team. It would be interesting indeed.. The only thing what's needed is some doping..

That is true!! the next album will be the more important for the band because they will show to us, How they assimilated the time when Tarja Turunen left Nigthwish?? . Beside, we'll know how is the voice of the new vocalist and which skillsdes she have

I'm sure they'll find a replacement. Tarja's voice, while nice, is hardly unique.

But it that's the case, they're kind of going back to square one and would need to SERIOUSLY change their style. How many of the old songs would Marco be able to sing?!

He could replace the voice of Tuomas in the earlier years but for me the songs with Tuomas' voice are unique and have a special style.... I don't think Marco could sing these arrangements better than Tuom.

I don't think they change their style. Tuomas as song- and musicwriter will still write more than 95% of all songs
