Anime&Manga

Post by StratoFactor » Thu Mar 16, 2006 4:55 pm

Ok, I browsed through all the subjects in here, and there was no threads on anime or manga what so ever, the thing that got closest to anime was "what anime character are you?"-test. So I made this thread, here you can talk about anime and manga with other anime&manga lovers, you can recommend anime &manga series to others and say your opinions about series's. I hope this will become a big and healthy thread. :D

I haven't seen that...what is it?

I have to admit that I really enjoy Ogenki Clinic. I find it to be absolutely hilarious.

I've got Bezerk and Neon Genesis Evangelion, love both. Recently watched Macross Plus and was impressed by it. Also caught a few episodes of Trigun... wow that's a weird one

Apart from those, I've only seen the obvious big films (Akira, Howl's Moving Castle)

I just got Berzerk, but i've only watched the first few episodes so far...

Griffith is so pretty. He's prettier than Michael Sweet. I just wish they'd come out and tell that he's gay.

Well, I have Full Metal Alchemist and Neon Genesis Evangelion in my computer, love both, but find Evangelion to be superior in character developement and story (if you count End of Evangelion, which I also have) but Full Metal is more fun.

Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X rocks all the way to the Christians saga, after that it just drags on a bit, though the OVA is a masterpiece

Gundam Wing is also one of my favorites (bet my avatar is some small indication to it :P)

and an honorable mention to Saint Seiya the first Anime I watched and fell in love with

I hope not to give much away, but I'll never re-watch Bezerk. I don't want to put myself through that experience again. That's not saying that it's bad, it's just... well, beyond words.

You'll see when you get to the final few episodes.

Yes indeed, one of my brother's friends lent him the entire thing, of course it is about 8 gigabytes of pure anime awesomeness

I have Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto(Of course), Ragnarok the animation,Battle Angel Alita , Battle Angel, Kyou Kara Maou,Oh My Goddess and Gungdam Seed on my computer and Neon Genesis is on at finnish TV!!!! :D So anime is vital for me. And I read Naruto manga, because the filler-episodes that are on in Naruto are total shit.

I don't like anime and manga so much...

By the way, South Park's 8th season's first episode's anime fights were so cool and funny! :D

Hey StratoFactor, how is Gundam Seed? I haven't watched any series other than Gundam Wing, but the storyline of G Gundam didn't really interest me so I sort of ignored everything else that came out...

Oh, and another thing! Not that I ever talk about video games. Has anyone played the Gundam Battle Assault games? They're great fun.

Is it as good as the manga ? I love all Yazawa stuff. Well I'm mostly a shojo freak, things like Naruto, Shaman King, One Piece and such are totally stupid imo (but I still like some shonen stuff like Evangelion or Mai Hime).

And if I were an anime character it would definitely be Minoru from Chobits :D

The words or the song? I happen to have the song on my computer, but the words are quite hebrew to me too. But I can understand japanese when I read it or hear it, but when it comes to reading japanese letters... I suck. I could send you the song via Messenger.

Gungdam Seed is quite off with me. I don't personally like it so much as the other anime series's. Btw has anyone watched Bleach? Or how many know it? I watched one episode and it was really quite good but I have problems downloading those episodes so it is sort of a sad story. Also I started downloading these odd series's from internet, hopefully not all of them is porn or something.

Clamp are to me the best mangakas ever, even better than Osamu Tezuka himself. I own all their stuff :D And Chobits is definitely a true masterpiece.

Maybe, or you could just try and google it up. Or if you use the amazing Japan-English-Japan translators! They work better than StratoFactor-translator 0.001 teh Bummer-version Imho

The sotres of Ivalo have only Inu Yasha, and I don't like it so much. It is sad that if you live in the middle of nowhere , you cannot buy manga books, which would be great fun to read when you are on a trip to somewhere. Because it's quite difficult to take your table computer with you...
