Well? I only know a couple of bands from Brazil, like Angra and Sepultura.

Orphaned Land - Israeli band, they play a mix of middle-eastern folk with doom/death and some progressive elements. Highly recommended.

Exseqour <-- Black and they're quite ok. :D

Aradia <-- Some gothic With female singer, really good!

Synesthesia <-- I don't know.

Highly recommend Legend maker..they don't sound like an south american band... have some things...can't define.

For those who like death metal, google this
Twilight glimmer (the ht may be wrong), a good band from colombia too

Concerto Moon absolutely rules! Norifumi Shima is number one on my list along with Malmsteen.
