Brad Delp Lead Vocalist for Boston RIP
Friday, March 09, 2007
R.I.P. Brad Delp
Brad Delp, lead vocalist of Boston, was found dead this afternoon in his New Hampshire home at the (young) age of 55. His untimely death comes at an extremely unfortunate time; Delp was preparing to rejoin members of Boston for a planned spring/summer tour that would allow a two-day break in the summer for Delp to get married. While the sadness has been accentuated by these circumstances, they'll never be able to compare to the raw tragedy of losing one of the more talented vocalists to ever grace the music industry.
The cause of Delp's death is still under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
The official Boston website recently removed all of their content and put up a single solemn message that may best describe Delp's life and work as a musician: "We've just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."
