Alot of big shots(and people who THINK they are big shots)are soon going to realize that the middle&lower class factory workers they label rednecks, and look down upon, are actually the backbone of the whole worldwide economy!

In essence, the bluebloods of the stock market were bailed out/saved, but the working class who in reality hold everything together in this world were left in the lurch.

Hmm... well, that's sounds bad, but I guess we'll just have to adapt to new times, I mean, we've done that many many times throughout history, this is just another bad season for mankind, we'll have to get used to those times when a 16" TV was a gift from heaven and where canned food was awesome. Oh and BTW If I had the money, I'd buy those chickens

I don't think the person does a good job in making the case for the claims in the article.
Here are some of the elements of the war against Ford (and the rest of the USA heavy manufacturing): enormous taxation nightmarish health care requirements unconscionable union demands backed by the full force of the military of the USA restriction of bank credit government forced design changes, ie: plastic bumpers, but not the good stuff takeover and subversion of the Ford Foundation into the antitheses of The Ford Motor Company destruction of the family of Henry Ford destruction of the dealership network established by Ford installation of an Egyptian as President of Ford whose every move lost money, wrecked the product and helped to ruin the dealer network the forced outsourcing of manufacturing to third world locations the hobbling of the engineering staff of The Ford Motor Company who could, if they were allowed to, build UFO's and cars that never needed any fuel at allS
I wonder the politcal and economic system the writer is thinking of as a solution?
The American people, damnably fat and lazy with all these creature comforts, and bamboozled with negative subliminal programming in the open air mind control arcade cannot now see or understand what is about to happen.
To me this is an ineffective way to communicate.
Think about it and know: Nothing can do as much damage to America, and the American People, as the bankruptcy of The Ford Motor Company. It will be worse for the country than nuclear obliteration. With The Ford Motor Company and other USA heavy industries the country could rebuild. Without them there is no possibility of any recovery from anything.
I don't think the writer is being objective here or supporting the thesis.
To me, the article is unprofessional, unscholarly, illogical, and full of extremism. There are some valid points and some that are over the top speculation and misleading.

Well, crooks like Mr. Madoff sure don't help matters either!
Hopefully, Obama will help the carmakers because if they totally collapse it will be a domino effect. But, before that happens probably Toyota or Nissan would buy them out, or something.

Maybe obama will let the ford engineers build those UFOs and cars that don't need fuel that the workers have been prevented from building like the article states.
It will be interesting to see what kinds of changes people get to believe in

I for one do not take to the sensationalist tripe propagated by the mass-media, more concerned with selling another newspaper by propagating hysteria than reporting the truth. I say- let bury these blueblood boneheads. Why is it that the economy declines for one year and the billionaire auto-industry cries for help? Couldn't they have saved something and planned for a minor recession, or did they spend every last penny because they knew we would bail them out?

The world economy has been through worse and come through alright.
It'll be fine.
