URLs for stuff like these user uploaded pics should be redirected automatically, but let me know if it broke something.
You should hopefully not have to do anything else than re-authenticate. However there is a potential problem that DNS takes a few hours or so to propagate for everyone.

I had to log-in but I have to do that anyway every couple weeks. My browser is pretty senile.

Whenever I light up new things or move stuff, I usually set the TTL for A records really low- like 2 hrs, if I remember correctly. After three or fours days, I return the settings to something a little more normal.
