Why did these idiots write the song BLACK DIAMOND.
Why do we have to bring race into the equation?

Why not call it WHITE DIAMOND? Is Stratovarius a NEGRO BAND now!?

I just don't understand the songs lyrics are about love or something and they had to call it black diamond!!!! Why black there are so many colors Do you people just not understand!?

We are white people and why do we have a song about black diamonds? why is color so important? why did we have to bring race into my favorite metal band except for anything kai hansen has made (including his farts, burps, and moans...those might not be bands but i'd consider them side-projects).

Scientifically, a black diamond is a diamond with alot of impurities, so many impurities that it is rendered almost worthless. Yet, black diamonds are very beautiful in spite of their imperfections.

And again, the diamond image, is symbolic of something far beyond your reach, something you will never catch, something "higher" than you, and black shows darkness, passion, even love, actually, black is deep and powerfull, so the Black Diamond is a symbol for a beautiful thing far beyond your reach, and it obssess the character of the song who, even if he knows he will never lay a hand on it, cant get it out of his mind and so, gets insane, crazy, obsessed, passionate...and the lyrics show that state of mind!
