What the fuck is this voice? Roy Khan , just amazing... I just start to known his work and I'm crazy about his talent.......

His voice is nice but If I listen to him too long he starts to annoy me.

Yeah...... He is a very good singer with no doubts.... I'm addicted with songs like Moonlight and The Haunting - Somewhere in Time......

You forgot something: people don't need to agree with you when posting here. You think, that he's a great singer, I think, that he's one ofthe most overrated powermetal vocalists.

I think he is rated for his ability, so it's not a very subjective thing that he is rated high on. Now people can subjectively rate him low but it just looks stupid for people to call him overrated. Overrated is about the worst term ever.

It might be the worst term ever, but in my eyes he is overrated. Sure, I can only call him subjectively overrated, because it's my own opinion. And why would I need reasons? His voice simply annoys me.

I think that’s a rather stupid reason to go around saying someone is overrated. You are not critiquing his singing at all; you are just saying you personally don't get his voice. Personally not getting a voice has nothing to do with how most people rate singers.

Then, if you rate him in some other way, give me reasons, why is he so great.

Well, I agree with all, except one. I didn't hear any emotions in his voice.

I've listened to every Kamelot album with Kahn at least twice and to that song he did for The 2008 Avantasia Album. He has a nice voice which is certainly unique, buit there is something about it, and I can't quite put my finger on it, that annoys me about it after listening to it for too long.

There's a lot of things in his voice that makes me feel good... Great vocals...Very tallent... A God's gift.....

Yes and no. He wasn't that accurate or controlled the last summer when I saw him live. His singing looked very hard and he didn't capture certain notes and had surprisingly staggering voice.

I'm not a big fan of Khan, although I like his voice a lot. I can perfectly understand some think of him as THE singer in melodic metal stuff. I like especially when he sings midrange that serene kind of way that's kind of his trademark if you ask me, singing some very high notes every now and then. I think this singing of his is more quiet than average singing. Yet he sounds beautiful at best and still reaches very high. It's very emotional singing. As someone said, a unique voice. I'm glad there is Kamelot and Roy Khan sings in it.

I'm ordering The Black Halo btw. So far I only have Epica and that is actually one of my favorite albums... Somehow never liked Karma nearly as much...

im not really a fan apart from a few songs. i was mainly going off a few live vidios that i have seen, his live performance when i saw them and edguy, and the word from fans.
