Does anybody here know this band or is a fan of this band? They're a Hard Rock band from Switzerland and they're quite succesful in their own country. I knew about them for quite a while but I always was to lazy to really check them out. Recently, when their new album was released, I finally gave it a listen and I have to say it is great. I also listened to some of their older stuff and it also kicks major ass. Especially the first three albums and their versions of Hush and Mighty Quinn. And Steve Lee's (the singers) voice is just godlike. Love his voice. What do you think?[/img]

One of my favorite rock bands
I really love the cover of hush.
I think and then goodbye is one of the more beautiful songs I’ve heard
Steve has a great voice and they always come up with some cool melodies. Good with rockers and ballads
The whole melodic rock scene of the 90s and 00's has a lot of strong bands. A few labels such as frontiers specialize in it.
I’m enjoying their new album
.

I think that Gotthard is a boring band... I though lite Steve´s singing on the latest Ayreon album.

I've been on this gig and u might see me in the crowd/coverbook :-)

well, Gotthard is an awesome band imo. They rock live more than on album, got cool shows and is a nice entertainment.

unfortunately, they have problems to sell their tour: some gigs had to be cancelled in germany and switzerland as well due to the bad pre-sale. even the gig in munich with europe (!!!!) has a bad pre-sale i've heard...

very bad, i cant imagine ticket holder have made a mistake by buying the tix!

the older albums are quite hard. the first album "gotthard" is pretty hard rocking! then, they became a bit softer (e.g. homerun) and turned back to older times again with lipservice/domino effect...

i personally recommend gotthard or dial hard!!!!!

What? Unpopular in Switzerland? And I heard relatively 1 out of 10 Swiss had their record...

Still, I haven't listened to them as much anyway. I love the One Life, One Soul live on YouTube though. The singer is so freaking great and he sounds much better than on the record. Apart from the album G., I haven't listened to them. I didn't find them that special. I actually pretty seldom listen to those kind of bands anyway.

Who said that they were unpopular in Switzerland? Aren't they like the 2nd highest Selling Rockband over there after Krokus?

well, krokus is unbeatable... their success in the 80ies can't be reached...

gotthard is very big, i'd say the 2nd biggest band from switzerland is suitable.

i neither can explain their current "low"
