Kiko Loureiro's Fullblast

Kiko Loureiro just recently released a new solo album called Fullblast. For those unaware, he's one of the guitar players for Angra.
The album is pretty good, probably even better than his first solo album, No Gravity (I don't know about Universo Inverso, never listened to it). It's not 100% metal (and neither is No Gravity), but it's 100% great music.
This album is special. In every song you can recognize motifs from songs from No Gravity and also from his solos in some popular Angra solos. It's really fun to recognize the melodies, when you thought those melodies couldn't get any better, it's really a refreshing view on his earlier material.
Something really nice about his albums is that he is very open minded about music. Well, and so he is Rafael Bittencourt, as you can see in his solo album, which I also recommend (it's one of my favorite releases of the year two, probably third best or so, in my opinion). They both mix metal, typical brazilian music (but not only what you know by brazilian music) and other influences in their music, it's really an unexpected combination that works very well.
My favorite song so far is probably Pura Vida, but I haven't listened much to the album yet (too many great releases this year, oh boy, I'm having fun), so this might change soon.
