Congrats to Spain though, they really were one of the best teams in this Worldcup (besides Germany of course :D)

Anyway, Paul is really cute, but his predictions were pure coincidence in my opinion

It's a pity we didn't win. But I can only agree, the best team won. Spain was really strong. And come on, 2nd place in the world is nothing to be ashamed about. :)

I guess they're not 'amarela' anymore ;)

Oh, and I think you dropped this:

I hope Brazil have learnt from the lessons of this and the previous WC so they can give us a great show in 2014.

This Spain team have broken all the 'traditions': European country winning outside of Europe, team having lost the first match winning the Cup, European Champions winning WC, Spain never getting past the 1/4 finals... they did it all.

And Iniesta wearing that tshirt underneath showed true class and humility. He promised never to forget Daniel Jarque... so he dedicated the defining moment of his career and of Spain's tournament to his memory. Very moving and beautiful gesture, I'm sure Dani's family really appreciated it.

Oh, and my favourite fact of all from this tournament.

Only one team has been undefeated: New Zealand

Great showing from those guys!

Yes. In football there are cycles as you know, and now it has been Spain's one. And we'll see in the future...Spain always was a team that everybody was always waiting to see winning something (they had a lot of good teams before this one, not that good but almost). But we didn't know how to suffer. We just played good and brilliant football, but we lack of that competitivity that makes you win. Now it's different, and it's gonna be always different. The same happened to other National Teams in the history.

It was really moving. Iniesta is one of that sportsman that knows about the true meaning of sport and the t-shirt shows it. As you say, in the most important day of his life, one of that days where you can just think about you and your team and your glory... he was prepared to remember Daniel.

The only thing I was thinking while posting here was: Del Bosque's last change was like the most fucked up and risky of all the entire WC; Torres for Villa?! Thanks God they've won, otherwise he would have been very criticized :?

If somebody wants to see the celebration live: http://www.as.com/video-directo/llegada ... -del-mundo

Now they are with te King, etc, etc. From 19:00 they'll go around with the bus in Madrid to celebrate it. This is the route:
Image

fuck I'd like to be there, but it is 3,5 hours from Valencia to Madrid and I work till 19:00 hours ¬___¬...well I'll see it in the TV, in FullHD of course :D

How happy I am. It is the most fantastic day in my life.
ggonza wrote:The only thing I was thinking while posting here was: Del Bosque's last change was like the most fucked up and risky of all the entire WC; Torres for Villa?! Thanks God they've won, otherwise he would have been very criticized
Well, Del Bosque was criticized from the beginning because I think he was the only one who never saw that Torres was completely out of fit because he was injuried before the WC. He has been a disaster, Villa was really tired and he decided to change it...that's ok...but Torres? You have Llorente for example...but well, he is the coach. And fuck, he won the WC.

About Villa, well...what to say. Villa has been playing in Valencia CF from 2005 scoring 107 goals. Even I have some pics with him. I have seen this man from the beginning and it's and absolutely star. At the end of this season, some days before the WC, FC Barcelona came with an offer of 40millions so...
Villa has been and is one of the best spanish football players in history. I just wish him the best in FC Barcelona (but I don't want to see him scoring agains Valencia! :D )

Yes, second place is a very good one as you have said, and you got to the finals 3 times, we never got there, this is our first time, but it is such a shame the way you played, there is nothing to be proud of. It seemed that the end justified the means, absolutely shameful. You deserved to lose I must say. We played fair, and won. It couldn't be any other way.

Sorry to disagree, but it wasn't their fault either. That english referee was a real dick in my opinion :?

Yes, the referee was a disaster for both teams, but everybody knows who played to win and who play the game trying to erase the other team by smashing their legs. Cmon, all the world is saying it, even Johan Cruyff of Blatter. Holland was playing karate most of the game.
