CHRISTOPHER LEE To Release 'Symphonic Metal' Album

Legendary actor Christopher Lee, who has appeared in such cinematic milestones as "Lord Of The Rings", "Star Wars", "The Man with the Golden Gun" and "Dracula", will release "Charlemagne", a concept album with original words and symphonic metal music, on March 15, 2010.

Composer Marco Sabiu, best known for his collaborations with Kylie Minogue, TAKE THAT, Pavarotti and Morricone, has created a truly epic canvas by introducing modern metal symphonies, in a style which resembles a movie score. Marie-Claire Calvet, a graduate from Bristol University, transports the listener into "The Dark Ages", with a very powerful storyline and mesmerizing lyrics. A full orchestra, heavy metal musicians, choir and special guest vocalists bring the legend of Charlemagne to life.

Lee has previously collaborated with MANOWAR and RHAPSODY OF FIRE.

A bit old as the Rhapsody forum knew this like a month ago.
Wonder why

So, Lee is going to be a narrator or such again? The man has about the most charismatic voice so why not...

What interests me is that an eclectic and possibly quite ace composer is going to show up on new waters of music for him. I hope he will bring in new and distinct style without bringing in every single symphonic metal cliché the best in business are often using. If he can use neverbeforeheard influences and styles in his symphonical metal, it's gonna be something new and very interesting.

I also wonder who the singer will be. I hope he's NOT Lione.

Fabio is awesome, but remember, Christopher Lee is also a singer, so he will be singing on this album.
I didn't like the mp3 samples. I didn't like Lee's singing style. It doesn't sound like metal at all, but more like a Broadway musical. I'm not saying that's necessarily bad, but I just don't like it. Besides, his voice sounds tired... He is 87 after all!

Christopher Lee...Charlemagne (Ghost)
Christina Lee...Narrator
Phil...Pepin the Short
Mauro Conti...Pope Hadrian
Vincent Ricciardi...Charlemagne (Young)
Lydia Salnikova...Hildegard
Christi Ebenhoch...Storytelling singer

Grabbing influences from music styles other symphonic metal composers most likely haven't listened to.

What comes to the word 'neverbeforeheard' it's completely wrong. It should be more like 'new' or 'unusual'. But you couldn't have figured this out. My mistake! I'm sorry!

I think I write some apologies below for possible future mistakes that I make.

I'm so sorry! I did it all wrong! I was wrong! My bad! I beg for forgiveness! Most sincere apologies!

Can you give some examples of what you have in mind? What are some styles, fusions, or composers that you think would satisfy this?
