It's about time I started a Bigelf thread

Honestly, I figured since they have a finnish guitarist and bassist (American frontman and drummer) and have done three straight tours with Dream Theater that they'd already get some notice here, but either people don't know or aren't talking, which is criminal. I saw them in Chicago when they were with Dream Theater and found their music to be more engaging that Dream Theater's.
Here's the crash course

They're better showman than anyone I've seen, and have such strong 70s influences, it takes away some of the sting from realizing I'll never see a Black Sabbath or Deep Purple concert in its full glory.

Honestly, I had never heard them before the show, but their setlist was incredible, do you remember which songs they played? I know they played Madhatter, but that's the only thing I remember.

That was the only one I still remember too. I'd never heard of them before I read about the PN tour either. I also thought it was amusing that the frontman/keyboardist took a picture of us when they were done :P
Lucky you, I've listened to all their music at this point, Damon Fox is amazing

Just saw them live again.
They rock harder than anyone I've ever seen live.
Maybe I over-romanticize what it would have been like to see Deep Purple or Black Sabbath live in the early 70s, or an early Alice Cooper concert, but I tell you what, when I see Bigelf live, they're exactly what I imagine it would have been like

Saw them with DT also, I had only heard one song (Money, It's Pure Evil) before the show. Pretty damn good live band. Not the kind of stuff I'd usually listen to, but yea they are good.

I noticed they were a lot more confident at this show.
With Dream Theater they had a hug stage presence, but they weren't really flounting this, the bassist was just kind of wandering around and Damon wasn't being nearly as flamboyant and exciting then as he was last night. I mean, during Hydra, he was just going nuts on the solos, they're the ultimate showmen.

Ace Mark did a SICK guitar solo during disappear, he had the quarter inch slide on his fourth finger, and was soloing with the other three at an awesome speed.

I looked around at the people who knew what he was going on, the expression on their face was something along the lines of "No way is he...

...

holy shit"
