Same here. And those songs sound really good live.

Why do people say that music should not have been written just because they did not personally like it (saying the music was useless and should have been a poetry book for one example)? What about all the people that did like it? Do you not care about them or if music has a positive influence on others?

Personally, these two songs are some of the best Maiden had done in years.

If this is as good as AMOLAD, I'm sold. I was skeptical at first but I really enjoyed AMOLAD. Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, For The Greater Good Of God, I hope I'll be able to see songs like that live soon.

Now I understand why some people are upset about their recent works. It's different stuff. The songs are longer and deeper, it's not as easy to listen to their albums as it used to be. It's like two different bands. While in general I dislike such a profound change, in this case I can't complain. I like both old and new Maiden.

And I think Dickinson's voice is just getting better and better. Oh god, does he sound great live or what. I hope he releases another solo album soon, all his solo albums are masterpieces.

*sigh*

I guess Shurik was being polemic without actually meaning that people should be banned from writing bad music.

"The Final Frontier"

01- Beyond The Eyes Can See
(Harris/Smith) 4:17

02- Where No Man Has Gone Before
(Dickinson/Smith/Harris) 5:52

03- Higher and Faster
(Dickinson/Smith/Harris/Murray) 7:34

04-The Antagonist
(Harris/Gers) 6:07

05- Longing for Heaven
(Dickinson/Smith/Harris) 6:58

06- Murky Space Race
(Dickinson/Harris) 7:36

07- Catastrophe of a Thousand Light Years
(Harris/Murray) 8:29

08- The Final Frontier
(Harris/Gers/Smith) 14:09

....Even this, i don't believe it will be this cause there is no music that have only Harris author... So...

In hope it will be better than the last 3 albums. The last Maiden albums that I really liked where those with Blaze.

That was good too. A strong come back after "No Prayer For The Dying", which I didn't really like. Especiallx the titel track kicks all amounts of ass.

Describe why do you think they're some of the band's most melodic material and meaningful lyrics.

Bwahah! 8)

It's interesting to hear new album from Maiden. There have been rumours of them quitting even. Is this really going to be their Final Frontier? The epic climax of the war they've waged for decades.

Or just another normal studio album. :)

About Bruce's voice... I think it has matured over the years. Clearly he has more control over it nowadays than he had "in his prime" in the 80s. Hugely powerful and lovable voice anyway. :) At least for me.

That one is great, indeed. Many good songs: Space Race, Inertia, Solar Confinement, Faith, Octavia.... The show from that era on the Anthology DVD is awesome!

I have tried many times to listen to the X Factor and I always fall asleep halfway through. I like the first 3 songs, but that's it, and I'd much rather hear them sung by Bruce. And Virtual XI, with the exception of The Clansman and maybe Futureal, I can't stand it. Not only does Blaze's voice annoy the hell out of me on that album, but the songs are quite boring, IMO.

With the exception of "X Factor", "Virtual XI" and maybe "Dance Of Death", Maiden made some incredible albums. "A Matter Of Life And Death" is an excellent one, but I still miss the old Maiden; so I hope "The Final Frontier" to be as kick-ass as the original CDs :D

We respect everybody's opinion, but a lil' doubt...WTF are you doing on a Maiden thread if you don't like them? I always hate when people go and talk about something they don't like just to shit people, that happens a lot on the comments of my Strato videos, and I honestly can't stand it :x!

Opinions are opinions. If you would do what you say, you wouldn't post in the 'Avantasia - Dying for an Angel leaked' thread that you don't like it, would you?

I don't hate "Avantasia", I went there to listen the new material they've got and see if they've imrpoved. I consider "The Metal Opera 1/2" to be great masterpieces, and saying I don't like the new directions they took is not saying I think they suck or that I never liked them

It's different to what you've said, I guess :?

Basically it is the same. Someone made a topic about X. You said, you don't post there, if you don't like X. Your reasoning would be true if the topic would be about Avantasia, not about that song.

Let's make this clear. You went into this thread to say you don't like Maiden to be honest (the whole band). I went into that thread to say I don't like "Dying For An Angel" (one song)

Big difference

That would be true, if the topic you posted in wasn't only about that one song.
