Lars Vilks is my favorite Swedish semi-lunatic artist, who I have mentioned here briefly before:

http://forum.stratovarius.com/viewtopic ... 663#410663

Lars is now again all over Swedish press, of course. He says he accepts death if it comes in the name of freedom of speech and enlightenment, but nonetheless he has an ax in his house and would put up a fight.

hehe he's a looney but it's amusing to see what's going on. Extremists putting a price on his head, in metro today I read an amount up to about 150 000 US$.

Edit; It might have been 150 000SEK....My head is confused =)

Hmmm, now I'm confused- is the reward money in U.S. dollars, Swedish kronors, or in Euros?

He doesn't seem any sort of gun type but I would agree.. a good old revolver since he probably would never have to fire it, but if he did it would be less likely to jam (I think?) It would of course be highly illegal but better to get busted for having an illegal firearm than to be dead...

I read in multiple places that it was 100000 USD with a 50000 USD bonus if he was "slaughtered like a lamb". (It's interesting that these pricks still have faith in the greenback even tho it's fiat money straight from the belly of the Great Satan.. )

I agree that freedom of the press should not be compromised blah blah blah, but I can't help being amused by our European champions of freedom of the press. In Russia you'll get a bullet between your eyes for writing about the wrong stuff.

ah so 150 000 usd was the number then =)

tbh he could have gone for something a little more original then making a drawing, making an actual roundabout-dog potraying muhammed would have been a bit more provocative and scored higher in the newspapers. And his reward would most likely be 10 times higher =P

It's international financier/currency trader-speculator George Soros. He also bankrolled a great deal of money into Obungler's 2008 presidential campaign.

Indeed, I'm sure that you're probably familiar with the NRA slogan- "I'd rather be tried by a jury of twelve than carried in a coffin by six". For home defense, I'd personally recommend a riot gun- like a 12-gauge shotgun with 00 buckshot, and for accessories, I'd also suggest a mounted tactical light- the brightest that money can buy- it not only illuminates the intruder, but blinds them as well! It's sort of like having portable Claymore mines at the ready, and it's very unlikely that there would be another further intrusions to that particular residence again!

You're correct that revolvers typically jam less frequently than a clip/box fed automatic or semi-automatic. The key to not having a weapon jam is to keep it clean and to use good ammunition! The Comrade-branded Russian 9mm ammo ( ) is not something I would recommend for home defense.

Our greenbacks can corrupt even the most pious of jihadists! :D

It is stunning how many of these late Russian journalists somehow forgot that they were still in....Russia.

Not to be the typical self obsessed American who thinks everything is about his country, but they seem to want to make sure everything they do can somehow scare stupid little America. If they listed the price in Euros, nobody would have any idea "Just how serious they are"

Hopefully, Wilks will let out one of those shrill jihadist trills like that ringtone just before he takes a baseball bat to the skulls of any would be intruders, and then utters "Die, goatfucker, die!" while he smashes them! :D
