hum....yeah....it's a solo originally made by Jens, obviously...i have the original version somewhere in my HD with Jens soloing.
Anyway what you hear is my take (made with my own lead) on a backing track.

Re: attempt on Jens's track
whow ! that's really not bad ! ok it's very good to me it sounds great, could you post the link with the track? I'd like to try myself...
Apart from that do you play in a band? If yes, what do you exactly do, cause I guess you're not soloing that way all the time, so do you play strings etc... (if there are in what you play of course ^^)
My question may appear strange, but as a matter of fact I still hesitate between the guitar and the keys in a band...

Re: attempt on Jens's track
i teamed up as a classical pianist 16 years ago, i started to play synthkeys 7 years ago, after i had hear to Stratovarius...
well what i do on keys apart soloing ( i really enjoy that, in all the forms... to play synched parts with my guitarist, jam with the drums and the bass...and obviously "fight" with the guitar).....
I play in a power/prog metal band, and we cover a lot of Stratovarius and Dream Theater...so mostly that kind of keyboards.
I really enjoy play orchestral parts (strings mostly)....choirs pads, harpiscord and piano passages (a lot of neo-classical, but also some jazzy/fusion and blues), but also atmosphere-sounds, really slow....and sweeped lead-sound like in Pink Floyd (Shine on you crazy diamond part 2)
