At the moment guitar and voice - I'm meeting a guitarist next week who is interested in joining

I'd say work on your vibrato when holding out notes. It makes a huge difference.

Vibrato on guitar I mean't. You should try to get the vocals higher in the mix on the recordings. (not sure if you have sufficient equipment)
